Looks like Full Swing is confirmed for a Season 2, not entirely unexpected but something to look forward to, forget about and then get hyped about again next year :p

Quick question guys..I think I might have made a boob here..?

Im getting (end of the week) my new driver, fairway and hybrid. Now, I will be going from the hybrid into my 5 iron.

After a little research, I might have ordered the wrong hybrid! :(

My 5 iron will be 24.5 degree of loft (W/S D9 forged), and I ordered a driver (10.5), 3 wood and a 19 degree hybrid!

Am I better off swapping out the 19 degree hybrid when I collect them and ordering the 21 degree of the same hybrid??

Or will the transition between the hybrid - 5 iron be OK?

I think you'll be fine.... I find the difference between 4 iron (say 21/22 degree loft) and 5 iron at 24.5 - is very minimum in terms of distance.

I have 2 yards average distance between my 4 and 5 iron.... Every other club is gapped nicely. I think it's just a confidence/look thing....

If you went up to 21/22 degree hybrid - you have a large gap from 3w (say 14.5/15) to 21.

I think your setup is fine. 3w to Hybrid (19) to 5 iron gapping sounds ok to me.

I still play around with that part of my bag - Generally set with driver/3w/7w/4iron up.....

However I can sometimes depending on course swap my 7w (20.5 loft) for my older hybrid (19 loft) - I would normally do that if playing a solid links course... I used 7w for slightly softer courses/greens.

Got a horrible horrible nagging want for a 2/3iron.....

Need to stop looking at the blacked out Mizuno Fli Hi irons :rolleyes:

yeah, I think the gapping seems ok, will leave as is I think, cheers.

haha! Treat yourself, you know you wanna :p

Got back on it last month after a 5 week break over Christmas. Thought I'd have completely lost it, but in all honesty I've never played better.

Played yesterday and came perilously close to breaking 100. Short game was excellent and 2 putted 15 of 18 holes. As always it's off the tee where I struggle, though it's nowhere near as bad as it has been. Slice is gone and distance is better, but my direction is a little iffy and that can sometimes put me in awkward spots.

Still very pleased with my progress though. Shot 102 yesterday which considering I walked off with 137 not 4 months ago I'd say is decent progress xD

That's good going :)

I found similar, even not taking as much time off, but I came back after a few weeks with the freeze and xmas to instantly set a new PB score :p

I think it's largely a case of going for the fun of it now rather then with the sole aim of expecting to get better every time you set foot on a course. It just doesn't happen like that and obsessing over what you're doing wrong can often do more damage then good.

Just got back from the range, 60 balls with ~50 of them with the new driver to try and get used to it a bit before playing a round tomorrow.

Overall I liked it, still hit some horrible slices (cause nothing can fix a terrible swing obviously :p) but overall it was mostly decent, even hit a few slight draws but mostly straight or with a slight fade, didn't look particularly long but don't really care about that, care more that from initial impressions at least it's a much most consistent driver to hit :)

Of course tomorrow I'll be hitting massive slices everywhere with it

just booked in at Scottsdale golf for my fairway wood fitting on 30th March. Lets see what these boys can do for me

I was thinking of going there for a driver fitting. How does it work though price wise? Do they have a fixed price for a club that has a limited choice of a couple of 'stock' shafts, then if you want (or need) something different you then have to pay for the shaft on top?

Does that mean say a £450 driver off the shelf could possibly become a £700 driver?

No far from it.
I can send you a link to get 50% off your fitting.

But basically they have a huge array of shafts for each club you want to try and they won't push you into something you aren't getting on with.
Theirs no hidden costs.
Your driver price will only increase if you have a special custom shaft which is an additional cost anyway.

Their knowledge and expertise is simply brilliant. I would highly recommend it as they fitted my wedges for me last year.

Well..I popped into American Golf after DPD confirmed delivery, and was surprised as my irons had arrived too!

Unfortunalty, i didnt have the funds organized to pay and take the irons away today :( but going to collect them tomorrow :D

Here are a few photos of the woods I bought, they aint no Paradym or AeroJet, but im happy with them, now just need to get to the range ASAP!

@Zeebedy - hybrid club is excellent in that model - I love mine - swap in and out depending on the course with 7 wood etc.... Only small downside is there is no adjustability on the club

nice, thats good to hear mate. Yeah, that is the one thing i did notice on the hybrid tbf.

Have you used the driver or 3 wood? If so, how did you find them??

Nice one thank you, message also recieved.

I also like that they'll make up any clubs whilst you wait at the Warrington centre.
honestly the experience is amazing. The guys are more than happy to explain the process.
I like the no pushy sales. Purely based on how you feel and then what works best for you.

When I got fitted a lad had paid for a full bag fitting. He wasn't swinging great so they offered to invite him back free of charge to try again just so he could be sure on his choices.
Which is excellent customer service.

well guys..collected a few hours ago! :D

I think I will keep them inside and use them as display pieces as they are too beautiful to scuff and mark up!

Epic mate. They look lovely.

Advice now is to find a local TopTracer/Trackman range and hit 10/15 balls with each club to get your yardages and gapping. That way when on the course you know which club to pull depending on conditions etc
