2030 - Mark the date in your calendars boys and girls!

Can't see this having much if any impact on the majority of golfers where quality of strike will be a far bigger determinant of distance than the ball being used. Especially if as the R&A say it will have more effect the faster the swing speed.

So my 350 yard drives will be no more than 335 now... Shame.....

I see both side of the argument but it feels like open heart surgery for something that needs a band aid.....

99.9% of golfers can play any course, anywhere without any issues.

Still it's at least 7 years away, I'll stock pile some Pro v's for now and sell them for a fortune on the black market when the new balls come out.....

setup done guys..heres my WITB. I just need the weather to get on course / range!

Liked my Cobra bag, but I really like the 14 way divider and they are not crazy common on stand bags, but managed to dig one from Amazon, just delivered tonight.

Rahm to Liv official now. Supposedly Finau and Hatton next.

Seems like PGA will be mainly left with Rory, Scottie and Hovland as its main stars and Speith when he’s playing well.

yeah - I'm so frustrated with Pro golf right now.

Listen, loosing Rahm to LIV is a massive blow for the PGA Tour, but the lack of leadership and trust at the top of structure is so bad, that I kind of don't blame him for taking the cash and going.

PIF and PGA Tour are supposed to have a framework agreement in place by the end of the year..... But yet PIF (LIV) are still poaching players just seems very strange.

Disappointed in Rahm for sure, always seemed to love the game/records/etc more than the money, but $400/500 million waved in front of your nose will certainly make you forget about your "legacy" etc.

Still won't make me watch LIV, no interest in it, the format, 80% of the players are washed up pro's cashing in at the end of their career.

I didn't like the way the players all jumped ship at first...but I actually have no problem with Rahm going. He probably had loads of offers from LIV, stayed with the PGA refusing colossal money, only for the PGA to then get into bed with LIV anyway.

Good luck to him.

how is everyone else finding their local course?

went up to speak to the pro, and yep..course closed over the weekend.

including the range! :(
I've given up even attempting to get on the course. The weather has been awful up here so they've been closed constantly and whenever they are open, trying to get a tee time is nigh-on impossible. Tempted to just become a range monkey over Christmas.

yeah, feeling the same here mate, thinking about leaving the course fees atm and paying the £50 for the year (unlimited balls) which is damn good!

Its not the "best" range going, but for a small course, I cant complain.

Haven't hit a ball in a month it's been so wet weather wise. Club is currently redoing green complex drains which is making a vast improvement but the sheer amount of rain we've seen still has them closed 50% of the week.

This tbh. It's one thing sticking with PGA and turning down LIV money when the PGA weren't bought and paid for by the Saudis to hide how scummy they are but when the PGA get in bed with Saudi and you're offered $600m or whatever direct from source then good for him.

As for weather, just finished the 4 days of golf here in Marrakech, worst day was the first, still 22c but cloudy, terrible... :p Today was 27c

Playing 4 courses + 2 hours practice a day over 4 consecutive days is bloody tiring tbh. But had a really good time so looking forward to next year :D

Only 'downside' was I was kinda expecting like UK heatwave type course conditions, you know the big bounces and rolling out for miles, back in June-ish I got a 287 yard drive from that, best out here was ~235, terrible :p Still bouncing and rolling a bit just not rock hard ground like the UK gets.

Really starting to lose it guys! Almost a few weeks with the new irons but the weather STILL won’t give up!

I hope the pro shop / range is open tomorrow. Or should I say! It better be! :p

which course is this?
