went out this morning around 530 to get a handful of holes in before work, my short game practicing is really paying off as i am making decent contact with the shots and putting is no more than 2 putts. I used to thin a lot of shots or chunk them so happy, plus the clubs make a lovely little clicking noise when hit out of the middle
within 100 yards i'm accurate with the wedges, maybe not so much as the lower handicappers will be but i'm hitting the green which is enough for me.
Off the tee is my big problem for loosing shots, general iron play once i've tee'd off is i'd say 90% ok, 5% lovely and 5% thinned so need to figure that out a little but i am starting to see the rounds and practice bringing scores generally down.
Playing the open at my club on saturday as found someone who will play it with me, he's not played in a comp and never played stableford so a 4BBB is a decent way to start, we are both playing of 19 so that'll help too.
