Club champs didn't go as well as I'd hoped, just managed to scrape a couple of rounds in the eighties (89/87). The only positive was my putting, averaged 30 putts per round over the two days.
Out in the midweek roll up today. Course now crazy firm and burnt out. Two birdies on the front nine which was very welcome. Unfortunately two dreadful 6i approaches which cost me four shots between them. That and a dreadful three putt on sixteen put paid to any hopes of winning. Ended up with 35pts playing off 12. Will be a nice counter (13.5 diff) for my handicap which I continue to chip away at. Should be down to 13.2 tomorrow
