Gran Turismo 7

I’ll have a look as well cheers. I hate the first hairpin there is a breaking point at the left over a crest and I can’t get it right. If I try it flat I lose all control and mess up the hairpin. Online races others seem to do it flat but I can’t see how. Middle section I like but I am not happy with the last corner either but I think I almost have it. Knocked another couple of 10ths off my time last night.

Hopefully it helps you guys, the hairpin is the worst bit, on controller we lose around 1 second to steering wheel people. I take I in 2nd mostly, sometimes 1st to get more rotation. I think it was Doughtinator on YouTube who tested it.

Last corner is sometimes tight in second gear to get turn in, the 3rd about half way round before flooring it for the straight. But from my testing, 3rd on that 2nd different colour tarmac (not tightest line) is quicker for the straight.

Had a watch (well 3 watches!) and yeah you’re much smoother into the hairpin than me and your line into the last corner helped - I wasn’t going as far left as that but you carry speed well through there. I’ll do some laps later cheers. Also the little left hander after the second bridge you went in 3rd and I’ve been going into 2nd. I’ll give that a shot as well.

Folks. How the hell do you save replays,?

I must have selected save replays many times and I go.into showcase and still can't find any replays.

Help please?

Picked up a copy off ebay – new and sealed for £40 all in, so happy with that price.

The game looks amazing! And it plays really well, but over the last 12 levels (collector level or whatever it is) I have noticed:

* The roulettes are pants – I’ve had double figures of these now, 1, 2 and 3 star; and always I get the lowest payout! Often 5,000 credits, but sometimes 10,000. The worst was a 3 star one, with three cars, a huge pile of gold bars and a small pile of coins – I got the coins. Call me cynical, but it seems that these are heavily weighted to give you the poorest return, in the hope you’ll then go and sped real money on credits.

* The AI is terrible – really really poor, they seem to follow a set route in races, and never react to you putting the car up the inside or whatnot, it’s a bit daft for a racing game imo, and makes me feel like I’m in an MP race with a bunch of kids playing bumper cars.

* The glinting reflections need to be toned down I think – they’re everywhere lol, and are more of a distraction than a “wow” moment.

* The talking heads…. I’ve not read anything they say, but they just go on and on and on.

* The unskippable intro – ok, some might lobe it (one online rag said it “brought tears to the eyes”), but for me, after finding I couldn’t skip, I went and made a coffee :D

Just started the BMW M3 cafe book now, so at least I get the Nordschleife.

Regarless of my old man moaning, I'll still sink a ton of hours into the game.

There is a setting somewhere to skip the intro. Roulette is indeed terrible though I have landed a McLaren and a million credits in the past but generally yeah it’s the 5k payout.

AI is not great they just stick to the racing line but they do make mistakes as well. After doing the cafe menus I do the occasional license but I imagine if it were not for the excellent multiplayer I’d be long done with it.

They should be in 'my items' in showcase, if you shared them too, they will be in the shared section in showcase too.

Yeah, I found that and disabled it.

Just finishing the cafe book for Porsche, and done all the licenses, had a few silver roulette tickets, low and behold, for the lowest payout on each.

I'm fastest in my M6 so far, I can get a 49.0 like the Jag, but with time on the table. I can probably get that down to a 48.7 with some more laps.

Fastest I've seen tonight in B/S was a beetle with a 48.2.

So far I’ve used the Beetle and WRX. I’m very slow but early days. Love this track but it’s been a long time since I’ve played it in anger.

Anyone up for some private lobby racing again? Planning on racing around 8pm this Thursday. No decision on cars/tracks but open to suggestions.

Finally got something on a roulette that wasn't the bottom prize! Some car :D Mind you, I don't really watch the results when claiming them now, as they are almost always (the car being the exception, along with some cams for a car I don't have) the lowest payout – either 5 or 10k.

A 1:46.2 is the top time on Monza now wtf lol

Did some ranking TT and my optimum was a 1:51.0 so I am getting there. Can’t get the lesmos right at all. Practice, practice!
