Gran Turismo 7

The 458 is one of my first "go to" cars once I've got a feel for a track and want to use an alternative as it is just bags of fun. I'll hopefully have time on Sunday to try the SLS as that's sounding good. Surprised I don't use it anyway as the AMG is my fave Gr3. car.

Now I am starting to understand this game, is better buy the car you would prefer to race with or just keep on renting them?

Also if buy one and tune it up is it worth as my understanding is balance of power would just negate the tuning you do? I have got 1.52 on Dragon tail and I no idea where I am going to make up 4 seconds

Is anyone else struggling with the circuit experiences? The feel crazy difficult for me to complete! I'd say I have about 20-30 goes per split before getting each one

There's not much point buying the cars for daily races, while they're BOP. Unless you want to use a custom paintjob. With rentals don't need to do oil changes etc..

Some of the CE's are very hard to get gold on, it's worth sticking at them, it's about 47 million in total for getting gold on them all. The one i got stuck on was 1 lap of Leman's before one of the updates it was nearly impossible in the Porsche curves on controller. After the update (Physics changed) i beat the gold time by 2 seconds on my first attempt.

A couple of the 1 hour missions in 'Human Comedy' were harder to win. This is the one a lot of people on GTPlanet are stuck on --> Clicky After a few 1hr attempts i won it in the V12 Vantage on RM tyres pitting at the end of Lap 10 & Lap 20 taking 10.5 laps of fuel and new RM tyres each time.

Thanks for the reply @spaceman, what driver aids are being used? I am using only the yellow marker points. Driving line & braking line used by you guys ?

Since the Physic's changed in the 1.13 patch (i think) i only use ABS on default (before that i used TCS on 1 but it robs too much power), controller sensitivity on 6 and use bumper cam (just dials in the middle of screen). The yellow markers are helpful if you're learning the track. I kept them on for tracks i hadn't played in other games, but normally once i figure out my brake points and lines they are usually different to those.

I made it back into A/S and had some good races on Daily B tonight in the Merc SLS. I've done about half a dozen and haven't dropped back to B/S yet, so better than earlier in the week!

I've shared a replay of the last race i had tonight, if anyone is interested to see what a Sat Night A/S daily race B looks like (not the best race of the evening but gives you an idea! qualifying time is a 1.46.9 for reference). Put it in Bumper view with the speedo etc.. turned on in settings :D

I use cockpit view all assists off with ABS on. Race info/display off and no track markers etc. I find it all too much of a distraction. If it is a new track I might use braking zone on until I am fully comfortable with the layout.

Was still on the fence about buying this, but so many negative stories over the last week.
Just wanted a single player game, at least as good as GT6 (which wasn't even that great), but feel like my way of gaming is a relic of a distant past.

Have they bothered to let you sell cars yet?

It might be worth buying when the prices goes down for just the singleplayer, it is very short unless you get stuck getting golds on the Circuit Experiences/Missions/Licenses. There are some good 1hr endurance races (1x you can get a chunk of credits every win, 8x no credits for repeating as they are missions). The repeatable Spa 1hr race (1.5mill cr for each win) is probably the best race i've played in a game. Day to night to day with random weather so pitting for fuel and different tyres, depending on conditions.

You can't sell cars yet..

Ride 4 is worth a try it's probably cheap now too, i played through it on my Series X while i waited for a new Forza/GT game. 4k60 Bike racing, GT style with plenty of offline content and license tests like GT (get the season pass/deluxe edition for a lot more bikes). It has a very high learning curve if you aren't used to bike games though! Excellent selection of tracks and bikes.

Ok so I just painstakingly just went through all the A international licence getting gold in everything and the prize car was an alpine 110. Wtf?!?! That's the most terrible prize I've got so far!!

Just finished all licences on gold. The S10 one at the end took me half a day to do :D.

Any ocuk players out there that would like to add me up please feel free. Red_Sauce__

If I look at leader boards I'm the only one in it. Billy no mates :D

This week may well be Gr4 458 week at last!

So far my quickest is a 41.9

The guy from gtplanet on my leaderboard I've been racing against all last week up and down between B/S & A/S is currently at a 41.9 in the GTR.

I've been chasing no.11 Japanese name on the leaderboards 458 ghost (40.9)

Ooh nice. Not tried it yet today I’ll give it some laps tomorrow.

I'm currently at the top of B/S bar (last week was constantly between B/S & A/S).

1st race - qualified pole in a mixed A/S lobby, finished 3rd had a really fun race (replay shared)
2nd race - qualified 2nd in a mixed A/S lobby, finished 3rd had another really fun race

In the 2nd race i had to go defensive on the 4th or final lap so lost a bit of time to the guy i was racing for 2nd/3rd. The first was an epic 4 lap battle for 2nd place. Both awesome races though :D

Mostly WRX's and GTR's in the races like usual, with a couple of different cars.

I just watched that shared replay back, it was an epic race, looked like something on TV. I lost first at the end of lap one and battled with a WRX for 4x laps with zero contact, he finally got past me on the last corner! Definitely worth a watch

Does anyone else agree with renting cars in the dailys? Seems a bit of a cheat to me as I've saved up and bought almost all the GT3 cars and now people can just use whatever they like no matter whats in the garage
