Sign up, then on the right in your profile theres an option to tag it to your LiveID or PSN thingy, can take a while to link them, I was getting errors with the gamertag linking, I went out and all was fine when I came back.

One opened up for me fairly early in the game. You get an SMG there as a gift. It's the only one I know of so far...
Just keep playing, it doesn't take long for it to open.

Although it's not much of a shop (like the old Ammunation), more of a back street dodgy dealer

I've yet to see a pigeon to shoot (I see in the Stats 'number of pigeons exterminated')
I assume these are 'hidden packages' since the achievement for getting all HP has a bird as it's picture (?)

This game is epic driving fail

Whatever happens I simply cannot stop in time. Even the second I notice somebody indicate into my path, brake HARD... nope, crash. Corner on the freeway, brake hard... and crash. The brakes are just SO ineffective.

And where is my bumper cam view gone? What possible reason did they have to take that out?

Use the hand break and press select to change cam angle.
