What the thoughts on the Special Edition version? Was it worth paying for the extra bits?

I wonder how many kids are back at school today after being off ill yesterday and walking around with a shiny new Rockstar duffle bag? :)

<3

I love how a few pathetic little individuals can't take the slightest criticism on their precious game :p

Who cares? It might be the best game they ever play. I'm sure there is at least one thing in the world that any of us would stubbornly stick up for.

Doesn't make people pathetic.

The Special Edition is really nice actually, its the best one i've seen (other than the £300 Final Fantasy VII one :p)

totally agree. i think they have the mix wrong

there is no image processing on either. only shrunk it down to 1600xsomething or other. i had to decrease the exposure for the SA shot thats why the light level on the bezel and wall are different.

oh and sa was running at 1650x1080. wouldnt let me run at 1920x1200 for some reason lol.

I prefer the GTA 4 screen there.

I think people were expecting too much in terms of GFX in GTA 4. I absolutely love them. I think it looks wicked (for a GTA game).

I love all the little touches, I love all the objects on the side of the road outside some places, like loads of trash cans and garbage etc.

I am really loving this game.

Although, I am finding the missions a bit boring at times. Also the targetting can be a little frustrating when dealing with multiple enemies.

I love shootin people in the leg and watching them limp away and stuff

I find that putting 1080i/p on the 360 version gives it a very soft look to the game that really cuts the aliasing down. It joins Halo 3 and Forza 2 on my list of 'games that look better in 1080i than 720p'. I tried the same for the PS3 version but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

:/

Fair enough, I would say that to be amused you have to have some interest, and thus care to some degree in order to have an opinion.

Anyway...

I can notice things and comment on them to pass some free time without any keen interest in the matter.
