lol, you need to go on atleast 3 dates before she lets you come in.
No actually it was the 3rd date i took her to the cabaret club aswell.
i get nowhere with her now, she just tells me politely to get lost.2nd date for me, the third date I tried to kill her but she said I was a freak and left...
an hour later she call's me for a date, doesn't she get the hint
I think it's for performance yeah, sorta to hide the low res textures on distant objects which are necessary due to the size and detail of the city and the limited ram/vram. You soon get used to the DOF though, honestly I don't notice it now.Got it today and have played for a few hours, tis good but that distance blur is disappointing on a 92" projector screen, it's not a good idea to have anyway because in games you need sharpness as you could be looking at anything and your eyes would focus on it in reality.
I take it that it's for performance right? otherwise they should have an option to turn it off or at least come up with a better way of doing it, also at times things seem a bit washed out and with odd visibility even at close range, there should be some options for stuff like that, the shadows are also poor but apart from all that it can look pretty good when it wants to!
Drove onto the Algonquin bridge earlier and there was a cop car that had pulled someone over...brilliant.
It doesn't always have someone pulled over though The attension to detail in the game is brilliantUntil you realise it's there everytime you go on the bridge
I was looking for these before, they were in San Andreas but apparently not in IV.Is there a quick way to blow up cars with a pistol? I can't find a little gas tank anywhere?

hahahahaha at the internet in this game. Pure genius. GTA4 just keeps on getting better and better and I'm only 13% in to it.
About the shadows since someone mentioned them, they're dynamic shadows - if you stand still you'll see them moving in real time as the sun moves, and they're over a big area so it's understandable they can't be high res and sharp. They look ok though considering all that.
The shadows on the PS3 version arn't using the MSPaint spray tool though from what I've been told. Just the 360 version.
Can you backup your saved game on PS3? Don't want it to disappear like it has happened to some here !
