I havnt read the last few pages, but is there evidence of that anywhere? They are, but the PS3 version is at a lower res and looks softer.

Upscaling at work, it will make anything look softer/blurrier, at least to me.

Is it blur though? Or is it depth rendering (forget the exact term).
As blur would make it look a little, well, blury, but the PS3 version when i saw it, it was still reasonably crisp, just 'softer' looking around the edges.
PS3 runs at 640P and that's generally why people say it is blurrier.![]()
Is there a quick way to blow up cars with a pistol? I can't find a little gas tank anywhere?
It's the way the PS3 renders. This was mentioned by a guy at Rockstar.
It doesn't look the same on 360. The Xbox360 is sharper to PS3's blurrier.
People have their favourites, but they don't look the same.
Click for indisputable proof that the PS3 and 360 versions look different.

but that isnt why its blurry. ive said this before as well: gt4p runs at around the same resolution and it is very sharp
I strongly disagree. PS3 shot makes me feel like I have milky eye, it's that blurry.End of they day you look at the two shots below and they are hardly a world apart
Thats true, it's also pretty much been confirmed on B3D forums that the PS3 is not blurry because of the resolution difference, but rather it's a filtered effect to smooth out the jaggies.
Look at the shot below and see how it helps, remember the 360 version has 2xAA, the PS3 has no AA yet it still does well to keep up,
Look at the outline of Nikko on the PS3 version, there are hardly any jaggies, look at the top of the green bins on the left, less jaggie, look at the edge of the shadows, much smoother on the PS3 version, look at the shop's on the back street, pay particular attention to the windows and frames on the 360 version, you can see the dithering effect (graininess), your notice on the PS3 version you can't see any of this graininess, it's filtered and smooth, now I'm not saying that the PS3 is better, but, there are some +'s to be seen from the filter they decided us on the PS3 version,
End of they day you look at the two shots below and they are hardly a world apart, ok you can break them down and become over analytical about them like I have, but whack them on a big screen LCD panel and sit back on your sofa and they really do look pretty much identical, the differences that I've seen in both versions seem to come down to personal preferences, the only thing that I could say either one version has over the other is that the 360 version seems to run a little smooth across the board, apart from that they are equal.

I'd be intrested to hear if the PS3 version has a better drawn distance at all, thats the only thing that is annoying me so far.
