*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Anyone else found that some stores selling this are going round telling everyone that if you've not preordered you've little chance of geting a copy on launch day. Heard that for gears of war as well and no probs trotting in and snaging one.
 
I don't think they have handled it great TBH.

I would rather it was next Friday and no-one had it rather than an elite/lucky few that have it, if I can't get it today then I will wait till next Friday anyway due to work commitments making it pointless buying Tuesday!
 
I'm not normally one to gloat, but in this case I'm afraid I couldn't resist :D

The graphics are definately different from anything I have played before, but when you get used to them you will realise it's kind of the art style more than bad textures. You wouldn't say that Crackdown had poor textures as it was made to be cell shaded and looked great - GTA IV is similar but different, if you get what I mean?

That sounds a lot like 'if I can't have something, I don't want anyone else to have it either'.

Not a great attitude in general really, childish at least.
 
Just thought Id mention my pre-order has just dropped thru the letter box, so if you are waiting for your postie you could get yours today too!

I ordered mine from a not so well known online games retailer though, as I was too late for the well known ones :)

I got it on the 360 btw!
