Graphics Card Warranties (UK Only) - Let's see how good they really are!

Defo contact 5ub about it and see what he says. Throughout any problems i've had with my gear, he's always been the one to sort it out and usually straight away. I would send him all the details and see what he says.

My card is a Gainward 470 GTX.

It still works although when the fan goes above 70% duty a high pitch noise becomes audible to me. I'm out of the 2yr Warranty so have never bothered to contact the retailer or Gainward.

I wanted a ZOTAC at the time for the 5yr Warranty but my budget was £300. In the future though ZOTAC and KFA2 are my 2 top brands.

The only time I have returned a card to manufacturer was my BFG 8800GTS which had about a 3 day turn around and the result was they sent me back a 9800GTX :D and from the chart above KFA2 are now in BFG's old building? perhaps it's the same staff, anyway KFA2 look really good to me.

I've just officially joined the RMA club. Yesterday got an update about my HIS6850 - it's on its way to the manufacturer.
Could someone knowledgeable tell me how long does it take for HIS to fix/replace things?

email recd today saying they have now sent back to sapphire for repair/replace. So that's progress.

I suppose all I can take from the experience is to test in another rig to be absolutely sure . Once again thanks or all help from forum members

well sapphire credit OCuk for this card as 'end of life' so getting this to replace my HD6870 1024MB free of charge

so well done OCuk for getting over the rocky start to my RMA. My advise to anyone thinking of RMAing is to test in another rig BEFORE you send and take photo's / video to show problems

I RMA'd a faulty HIS 6970 I paid nearly £300 for to OCUK. Unfortunately I got it back with broken clips and claims that I had caused the damage.

Either way it was 2 pieces of plastic on a graphics card... After this I was far too busy and now I am having to sell for scrap money on ebay. Joy :s

Thought I'd share my experience with MSI. RMA'd my card middle of Jan through ocuk. Was a 5850 1Gb twin froz. Only 4 days ago have I actually received news that the card has been replaced with.. a 6850 oc edition. Which tbh I doubt is as good as my old 5850. Disappointing and I still haven't even received it yet. Asked ocuk twice and no response. 3 year warranty is good, no doubt but slow turn around and inferior card sucks.

Bought faulty gigabyte Radeon HD 7850, sent it to OCuk. On the day they received the card I received a confirmation email, they said testing will take 5-7 days. Next day (today) got an email, saying that refund is on it way - good job! Too bad for wasted money on P&P and delivery though.

It's a bit silly to quote myself I know, but that's for anyone who might be looking for any reports on HIS manufacturers guarantee.

Today I've got an email I'm getting HIS HD7850 IceQ X 1024MB with Tomb Raider & Bioshock as a replacement of this old HIS6850. Took them a while, but bloody worth the wait I guess!

The whole process took about 30 working days.

Just joined the rma army after 9 years of nothing going wrong :)

Got a evga 580 classified,it has got a switch on the card which overclocked it,the switch was not present when I got it,didn't know it had one to start with.

Noticed the card getting very very loud and hot during games, contacted dominik on here (I'm a 2nd user by the way),I registered the card and got 3 years warranty and sent it evga, they received it last Wednesday and sent a new one out the same day which turned up this Tuesday.

Awesome service and will use evga cards from now on.

Exceptional service from Gigabyte. Returned a faulty Gigabyte 7850 and they found a fault. Got a new 7850 within 5 working days! I recommend you guys buy from them.
