Even with zero percent markup (which never happens), and no import costs, $449 = £266.45, once VAT has been added.

I imagine it will be a while before we see these for under £300.

And I think ATi will fill the space at £200-£250 and £100-£150 leaving the X2 to come in at £300.

I'd be happy with that. I think that's at the optimistic end of the scale for release prices though, particularly for the 280 (probably looking at £425-£450 for that one on release). You won't be too far off the mark though, and we all know they fall quickly in the coule of weeks after release, as long as supply isn't an issue.

We pretty much know how much the 280 will be as the 9800GX2 was 600 bucks at launch.

So typically the card will cost around £400-£450 and if you are lucky at launch you could find one around £375.

It requires a 6 pin + 8 pin,they might be bundled with a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter.

Well, thats my 8800gtx sold, dam fine card it was too, had it since release day, will be sad to see it go, just taking it out my main PC now , back to good old 6200 for a few weeks , these gtx 280's better be good, I'm living on beans and toast for a month to get this card.
