It may be a dumb question but can you connect a standalone dvd player and watch movies using the HDMI connection on this monitor?

Yep, the image will be slightly stretched vertically but not sure how noticeable that is.

Im waiting for my old CRT to pack up (hpefully soon as the image keeps shaking and doing my eyes in :mad:

) , but am dying to order one of these! Anyone worked out a method of getting the resolution at 1080 HD?

Received this morning and up and running now....made my eyes bleed until i turned the brightness down

...what brightness and contrast settings are everyone using?....This thing is big and once again great service from OCUK..no dead pixels and looks great.

I got two of these today, to be blunt the best value piece of kit i have EVER bought. For the price these are just exceptional. Good colours, good overall backlight and no bleeding that I can see.

Get one before they run out

and tbh, i kinda like the looks.

Firstly - fantastically good value! Image quality is great.

However, I am right in thinking that this monitor has no scaling options at all?
Nvidia panel has no scaling menu shown so I assume it is the monitor.

Is there any software or way to disable scaling or force the scaling off?
I have some older games that don't look too pretty blown up to 1920x1200 (and then stretched to widescreen!)
