what you guys think is a safe 24/7 temp/voltage?

currently got 1.263v on 5930k at 4.5ghz max temp is 61c

however i've usually always wanted my cpu under 60.

i just like it cooler, what do you think?

Yep on ice, running 3dmark 05 with a max temp on the cores of around 19c-29c at 4.95ghz!

Yeah i'm roughly same on ambient, maybe a little more, at same volts ice is netting another 100hz but then you can push volts a tad more so around 200hz gain in total, but huge risk, just have to keep on top of paper towels!!

I dont use a rad!! Just an old cool box, a £20 fountain pump, 3m tube and lots of kitchen roll, and about 6kg of ice which will last a good 2-3 hours, probably less if you just use a bucket!

Now i'm set up with the tubes etc, i can prep and be ready to go in about 20mins, first time took about 1 hour, i love QDC's!!!

How come your memory is only 2333 for 24/7 use? Mine is set to 3300Mhz all the time lol :p

Not sure if it's the board or memory being picky. If I run it at XMP with OC CPU at some point there will be a freeze or crash, does not do this at default speed. Tbh the default speed is pretty fast, I can live with this considering how cheap relatively the setup was. Future bios updates may iron out memory bugs. Next year I'll likely move up to 32GB DDR4 higher speed anyway, so this ram is like a stopgap until then anyway :p

My ram speed looks to be wrong, don’t know if it just displaying it wrong? I have 8 * 4 GB 2133 MHz so think it should be 1066 MHz and the channel # should be showing Quad.

Message to anyone with Gigabyte mobos

I was struggling to get over 4.2ghz on my 5820k, even with ridiculous voltages of 1.280+

Turns out you really need to use that 3 - 1, 8 pin adapter for the CPU (was included with my SOCFORCE Mobo)

I'm using 2x 8 pin connectors and have been stable for the past 3 hours on 4.4, v1.263 and ram at 2666mhz on a noctua d15.

Also helps to turn load line calibration to TURBO.
