Hazro - Any Update?

I'll try to get a pic of the power supply I've got and compare it to your PDF. However, didn't someone say they were shipped a replacement Power Supply that was one of the new ones? I assume if the pin-out is different, the whole monitor would need to be different, right? (or at least the port on the monitor itself)

Its unlikely that there will be any difference between the 24Wi and the 26Wi with the polarity, but its is worth checking before you plug it in.

On another note, can you not borrow a DVM from some body and compare the PSU`s themselves ?

Is buying the 26" worth the hassle..?

Hopefully the hassle has been reduced.
They should come with the updated firmware which gets rid of all the original gradient banding problems and hopefully also come equipped with a better PSU.
Other than those there wasn't any real problems with the 26wi.
Once calibrated it has a beautiful picture, perfect for photo editing, also if you're into gaming it has one of the lowest inputs lags of any of the ips screens available.

I'm expecting a Silver HZ26Wi today. A bit hesitant about the screen etc, but I got it for a good price so I'm not overall bothered by minute issues. Mind you I say I'm expecting it today, if it's coming via DHL then it could be any day of the week.

Hi, did you manage to get a new power supply for your 24wi. I am kind of in the same boat. Hazro is impossible to get in contact with.

Unlucky that you're still having issue contacting them :( I think I've been fortunate to have absolutely zero issues with my 24Wi and each calibration cycle yields better results still (now running dettings 50, 14, 57 for brightness, contrast and sharpness) giving a perfect 120cd/m2 and 6500K :D

I've not had any issues with the newer power supply I got.

Hopefully you'll be able to get in touch with them.

On another note, the person who recommended actually tightening the cable into the graphics card and into the back of the monitor is a genius! I never actually bother screwing in the cables, but I have now and I've not seen green snow for a while. In the CoD4 maps I always used to get it in, it's not showing anymore.

So if people are getting snow, go go tighten your cables!

I have no idea what is going wrong. Been using several different e-mail addresses, but no reply at all. :( Every mail was just a kind call for help regarding my problem. I am also still looking for an easy way to mount the monitors on my wall.

O well...

I lie, I got some last night, but it is greatly reduced!

My second Hazro monitor seems to have some issues as well.

The past week it happened twice that after i powered it on the screen was completely black or was filled with flashing white/black lines. The OSD touchscreen buttons would not respond, so i could not turn it off / on. I had to cut the power from the switch.

Anyone familiar with this?

Hi all,
I've had a Hazro HZ24Wi since September last year and have had all the banding and green snow issues discussed in this thread. The monitor went back to Hazro in November 08 for its firmware updates etc..
However, while these updates have reduced the banding, it has definately not gone away completely for either DVI or HDMI inputs. I also still get occasional snow on the DVI input. If I plug a computer into the VGA socket, it all works absolutely fine.
Has anybody else experienced this or got any ideas I could try out?
Ta, Matt.

You'll never get rid of the green snow sadly, just make sure your DVI cable is screwed into both the gfx card and monitor (and not just pushed in), as that will help reduce it.

I've not noticed any banding. Only thing that annoys me about my screen is when they reduced the backlight brightness it's resulted in it ever since having a yellow "smudge" / tint in the middle part of the screen. Going to get a colorimeter soon as I'm hoping calibrating my screen may reduce it :( It's only noticeable when viewing a single colour across the whole screen. So I never notice it in games, only when I'm programming as the code windows have a white background :(

It has to be specific to some screens I guess, mine has not had any green snow since I got my 24wi updated last year - I've connected HDMI, VGA and DVI and not noticed snow at all since.

Thanks for the replys folks :)
Fortunately the hdmi input is completely free of snow, so I use that one for my main computer and the vga input for my other one. The banding still bugs me occasionally though, especially if I go to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer or hp.co.uk - the graded backgrounds come out horribly stripy! It's not a problem in games or videos as you just don't notice it.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Ta, Matt.
