HDMI doesn't offer any quality improvement over DVI in terms of signal from a GFX card does it?
I'm n to giving up my Hazro anytime soon! (if you read above on ALL posts you'll see I was not being entirely serious)!
Zero stuck pixels, zero banding, zero ghosting, no visible real world input lag, zero build issues, deltaE of 0.44 average and a max of 0.76 - not many panels can meet those features these days
I'm curious... do you not experience the washed out look when viewing at anything other than, well, basically head on? Along side my other issues I get this in basically any lighting condition (sunlight, complete darkness, artificial light).
I also see light banding, but I guess may be that disappears with calibration...
Oh, and no. I still haven't got this thing replaced. Hazro have gone silent on me. I'll try one last e-mail before it goes back to OCUK I think...
When you webmail them you are leaving your telephone number arnt you ?
When I webmailed them roughly a week ago they got back to me via telephone within the next couple of hours and I had my replacement the next day. Excellent customer service in my book.
The banding you are seeing ? is it horizontal and only really seen on a totally black screen and have to look close for it. If so its just a side effect of IPS panel technology.
I would pre-order, but given I've been waiting since April for these suckers to come into stock, I'm not trusting anyone with arrival dates.
If they end up out of stock, I'll risk it with the HP.
Yes. They have my home, work and mobile number.
They phoned today. Three days They do get back to me eventually, it just takes them a while some times. I guess they're quite busy. I was surprised it took them a while to get back to me on this one, however, as they sounded quite intrigued by the problem.
I can see that if my eyes are 1cm away from a totally black screen, yes. I don't notice this in general usage.
The banding I am talking about is plain old gradient colour banding, like http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/gradient.php, not the above effect.
Hazro say they'll send me a replacement, and test it thoroughly before sending it, and will even also attempt to send me results of a viewing angle test, as they say it shouldn't look washed out at moderate (45-50 degree) angles. They also say they don't intend on offering a matte finish version. Pity. It looks like a refund is in order for me, regardless of the viewing angle test results, as I just can *not* get a long with everything being reflected off this thing. I actually seriously find myself preferring the TN panels in the NEC monitors I have at work... purely because of the lack of reflections off the screen.
I'll stop complaining now and leave you all in peace, but I will say that anyone thinking about this monitor now... try and make sure you can cope with a glossy panel somehow (if you can, the monitor is great).
Price won't change GIBBO?
Hi there
The stock has landed in the UK, Hazro are now shipping to us and latest update is they are putting on a Saturday delivery for us so fingers crossed here Saturday, if not Monday at the latest. This is dead cert now!
Any idea whether the 26" version will now be glossy?
And whether there'll be any difference in response time for the 26" version?
Now frantically trying to decide between black/silver and 24"/26".... help!
