Hazro - Any Update?

I deleted my images from the previous pages, as it was taking too long to load on pages from the place I uploaded. This should hopefully be faster. HZ26Wi.

Wide-gamut is actually useful for people working in adobeRGB colourspace, which has a wider range of colours to work with. That's quite a small percentage of monitor buyers though.

Perhaps slightly more cynical is that joe blogs is more impressed by vibrant colours than correct colours. "Wow look how colourful the picture is!".

More cynical yet. Consumers like bigger numbers and manufactures aren't adverse to manipulating this fact in the name of product differentiation, so long as the price is right.

so I take it since the HZ26Wi has wide gammut, and when used with a NVIDIA card, its a no go for gaming and movies then? I was kind of hoping the 26Wi was going to be the best screen for gaming as it has a lot lower input lag than the H24Wi:( Unless there is a way you can set it on sRGB mode for everything somehow?

Im thinking of replacing my Hazro HZ24Wi with a 26Wi. Does the 26Wi have a glossy screen too (which I like)?? And this `wide gamut` situation - how would it degrade the image in movies & games, and how easy is it to adjust out?

Cheers

devilkazuya what Grados are they? I had the SR60 but felt they had mind numbing soundstaging!

on the top right of the picture are my Grado SR-125 which were the first Grados I bought. On the top left of the screen are two of my current 'woodies'. Nearer you are my Audio Technica ESW9 which you can only get from Japan. They are probably the best portable headphones you can get in my opinion. Behind them on the left are my Grado RS-1 which blow the SR-125 out of the water. They were Grado's flagship until last year when the GS1000 came out. The RS-1 is actually preferred by most people to the GS1000 though as apparently the mids on the GS1000 are too recessed to vocals feel a bit too distant. RS-1 is possibly the best headphone you can get for rock music.

I have a pair of Denon AH-D5000 on the way to me from Japan which should arrive in a few days. I have a feeling the D5000 may become my headphone of choice from what I have read. I currently use Sennheiser HD-600 for my all-around phone for PC...gaming/movies etc. The D5000 has been purchased to replace these as I find the HD-600 not that fun really though it has a lot of good qualities.

Here are some pictures:

Last one is my ATH-ESW9 with my Sony A828 which is one of the best sound quality DAPs. Highly recommened them.

I'd like an answer to this as well. I want the 26" but image reliability/quality comes first since I play games a fair bit.

from what I read, are we generally 'supposed' to be using 6500k colour temp, if the colours on the monitor are to be considered accurately displayed? Or is this only when relating to matching a printed image?

What about when watching a movie?

Cheers devilkazuya, looks great!

Those still unsure how movies look for black levels check these out, played some 1080p trailers and movies and took photos:

Excuse the slight flash-reflection making the left side ever so slightly lighter due to the wall behind me!

So yeah, movies and games = awesome especially for shadow details :)

mrk I was wondering if those photos you posted above are of the Hazro HZ24Wi 24 or HZ26Wi 26? The reason why is asking is because I read earlier in the thread you where or was thinking of going for the 26Wi and I would like your input please on what you think of the wide gamut problem when gaming and movie viewing, and is it such a problem or not, and do games and movies really look crap down to the colors when used on wide gamut displays?
