The banding and green dost/lines are being fixed by the firmware so it's hardly an excuse not to buy!
They say it will, but you can't be sure.

I'm having doubts about buying one due to the well known issues, can anyone make me feel any better?
Will there definitely be a firmware fix that is do-able by all the owners which will fix these issues + when will it be out?
Seems ridiculous that they didn't notice the issues themselves.
Also, what will I need to calibrate it properly? I will be going straight from a CRT and have no experience at all with TFT screens.
Thanks

Would you rather Dell or BenQ ?!
I have Horrifying news folks
I installed Vista64bit today and found ColorEyes does not work in it due to the unsigned communications driver it uses so I installed Lacie BlueEyePro and did a re-calibration using that. Results are better than in Vista32 so maybe 32bit Vista was causing some calibration issues ?
Anyway the results were:
Blackpoint Luminance was 0.62

Yep 0.62, previously 0.68

Good for you then, you won't be owning ANY 24" TFT in that case because the competing 24" range has more issues which currently don't have fixes in the works or in case of the NEC 24", not sold in the UK.
Hmm. Wonder if there is a fault. I can turn both the brightness and contrast down to 0 and still get a reading of 1.4 cd/m2
In a dark room its bright enough to read a book by.
Well, i would rather wait than dish out hard earned cash on a product that has issues.
Try adjusting the RGB from 95 to 85 for each!
backlight isn't dimmed I suspect.
Arhh come on mrk I know it's H-IPS
I am looking for the exact panel code
Like for the HP LP2475w it's LPL LM240WU4; a LG. Philips S-IPS
LM240WU2
