Hazro - Any Update?

Out of interest, under what circumstances do you get the sparks? All the time or on certain images?

I get them quite a lot in shadows in call of duty 4 and I also get them all the time in the bottom part of windows explorer in vista (just right of the picture and under where it says how many items there are in the folder).

Just got hold of one a few days back and thought i'd share my views and thoughts...

I've done all the tests and don't have any issues with banding. I even created my own gradients in PS and still nothing! Maybe some of you guys are looking for a problem!

By the way....anybody have any pics of the 24" in silver? I would like to compare and see whether I made the right colour choice (My one is black and will be hard to beat).

This was created in photoshop http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v46/Bagger/PSbanding.png and you can view it without any banding at all ?

If you go into the menu on your monitor go down to the spanner it`ll tell you what version firmware you have. some thing like " HZ24W ver. ** "
What version is yours ? Just wondering if you have this latest firmware installed

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Hazro.

Got a replacement out of Hazro today, told it would be checked thoroughly etc. etc.

So guess what?

A nice group of dead pixels, backlight bleed like i have never seen and more banding!!!!

Asked for it to be delivered to work address as before and spelt this out to the lady on the phone, it was delivered to my home.

I am about send them an email and i would like to copy someone from ocuk, anyone know of an email i can use. Looked all over the site and can only find the webnote system

Okay, I thought I was imagining it, but I now have the green snow. Hadn't occurred for the first two weeks, but now I see it on dark image areas. Not happy! :-(

I've got the occasional bit of green snow too :( This is whilst using a different, verified working DVI cable (I get the same results with the original cable).

How should I go about contacting Hazro? Their website suggests contacting the reseller (i.e. OCUK).

ok, lets put this to the test. I have a 26Wi as some of you know, and am extremely happy with it. The only issue being the slightest of banding on the checkemon colour spectrum test.

The website below is just a site that specialises in high-end audio cables/interconnects. It has a black-grey gradient for the background. I get absolutely ZERO banding on this website. What about the rest of you?

Well if there was a new banding event in the olympics I could quite easy enter this monitor.
If this monitor was a super hero then it would be " Super Band....."
Get the idea :D

Whats your 26 like for motion blur in games ?

I get banding on ny Hazro, but not on the viewsonic.

I have been having a think about the green snow thing and realised I never had any snow at all before I upgraded my graphics card on Thursday from a geforce 7900gs to a radeon 4850. I am not at home at the moment so cannot verify that the change in card had any effect yet, but wanted to know what graphics cards people are using who get the snow. I assume we are all using DVI?

I'm running on the supplied DVI with a GF 9800GTX and latest drivers :)

that's weird, why would you get such bad banding when I am getting none. Maybe the 24Wi has some technical difference to the 26Wi? Are they using exactly the same chip etc?

motion blur in games for me is good for an LCD. I played through Crysis and it looked and felt great.

Hazro said it only affects a handful of HZ24Wi IIRC so it might not affect everyone?

I dont get any of this green snow. ( just crap black levels but thats a different issue )
Makes you wonder if they used a cheaper unshielded cables in some of their monitors, this is how they know it only effects a few. just a thought.

I sincerely hope the firmware upgrade will be packaged and sent out for us to carry out ourselves. I can just imagine my almost perfect monitor coming back physically damaged in transit or something with dead pixels.

I recieved my Hazro 26Wi a few days back, it has 1 stuck pixel and banding issues, I am not so bothered by the 1 stuck pixel. The thing I am concerned about is the case it does not feel like it has been put together to well, it feels loose also I noticed the 2 top corners of the actual screen while dusting it down seem to push in without much force, can anyone confirm this is meant to be like this? I have had quite a few LCD they have never felt like they are loose in the case..

Do OCUK with faulty items wait for your to return the item or do they do swap outs?
