Tonight! I have to bowl some colleagues to the ground first :p

The aspect ratio modes are Full, 4:3 and Wide (which is also 1:1 according to the updated manual)

It's a H-IPS panel too, no idea on brand, the manual only says H-IPS active matrix.
 
Sounds good! Worth the wait if it's now got that polarizer thing as well.

Just have to wait for them to phone me I guess? They phoned me a while back, and I *think* they said they'd phone me nearer the time to arrange an exchange, as this one is faulty in more ways than just the DPMS issue!

Send them a quick web note mate just stating that and you'll get a call within a day or 2 to arrange the swap - exactly what I did! I was told I was quite high on the list of people getting swaps too though but I'd go ahead and webnote them anyway :)

This polarizer thing, it gets rid of the purple tinted blacks at angles, right? If so... this should now be the perfect screen for me!

No more eerie tints! from my quick checks all looks black from all angles though i can't try with the lights off without annoying the other people in the office so will get pics tonight of everything :)
 
News about the eta of the new hz24wi at the overclockers UK shop, is it already possible to pre-order it?
Have someone heard rumors about the new model price? Do you guys think the price will increase much more?
 
The price is likely to increase due to the higher spec that the new revision includes but by how much i guess only OCuK will know because they're the only UK store selling it (soon!)

Edit* forgot to mention, a HDMI cable is included, looks like a decent one too, branded AWM (same as the DVI cable).

The brand will be LG.Philips, my contact gave me the panel code but has asked that I don't post it online, sorry!
 
Waiting for these pics is worse than waiting for christmas as a 7 year old.

mrk: any chance you can get some up showing the improved build quality that has been talked about?
