Hazro - Any Update?

I got a reply from Hazro, regarding the statement about you may end up with a different monitor when you send it back for the firmware upgrade and other issues.

With reference to your enquiry, please find the outcome, solution or answer below:

During the upgrade of firmware, Hazro will only replace monitors in the following circumstances:

- if non-firmware related problems have been identified which Hazro engineers cannot resolve within 24 hours of receiving the monitor.

- if, during a firmware upgrade, the EDID Bios is flashed as a result of a communication error between the upgrade hardware and the subject monitor. This is possible, yet very unlikely.

In all other cases, Hazro will issue the same monitor back to the customer.

Can anyone tell me how I end up getting an RMA form for the banding issue?
Do i have to send another webnote to Hazro?

Ive already sent one webnote re the banding issue and their reply told me that a Form would be published online for me to fill out.

Ive been to the hazro site but cannot see any form to fill out bar the standard webnote...

am Im missing something?

You may want to read the full Hazro email to people, and that can be found 1/2 way down page 45 of this thread :]

They are being quite quick at picking screens up as the link came out on Thursday and they were already starting to pick ups on Friday :)

I go to the USA for 2.5 weeks on Saturday morning....

Do you rekon they will turn it all around in time if i log the RMA tonight....or do you think i should leave it until i return. Im worried they might turn around in 3 weeks and say "you missed the boat on the free RMA" or something.

Rekon waiting is ok?

I doubt they'll turn it around by Saturday. I am not holding my breath that I'll have mine back by the end of the week, and it should be with them at some stage today. If they return it to you and and you don't collect it, I guess it could end up being returned to them and they would probably charge you for it. If you could get it delivered to your office and pick it up when you're back from the States though, I would do the RMA now.
 
Damage, in the online form there is a textfield where you specify a preferred date of collection. I don't see it as a problem for Hazro to collect your screen after you get back from from the States. I'm guessing they will be fixing the 26Wi screens at that time so another 24Wi shouldn't make a difference.
 
Im giving up with the RMA dont want to risk getting a different unit.
I can only see the banding in certain situations thats dont bother me too much, cod4 looks ace thats all i rele care about.

Im still annoyed that they have done this and wont buy another of there products again.
 
I've found the RMA process has been alright at the moment, but the banding was annoying me, it was really quite obvious when in a dungeon in oblivion.

Looking forward to getting it back now :( playing games on my 17" last night just seemed wrong ;o
 
I may be wrong but doesn`t 26i have RGB Mode somewhere in its menus but this option is currently is grayed out, disabled? just, im sure it was stated in this thread somewhere. If it has, then this screen would be great for gaming if they would just enabled RGB Mode on newer firmware version.
 
Have they not given you a return date? That's odd. I mean people could be wasting their time at home waiting.

Nope, I've not heard anything from them.

Not even any confirmation that they've actually received the monitor at their end!!

If it doesn't turn up tomorrow I'll be sending them a web note.
