Hazro - Any Update?

Well i phone ocuk and they can't gaurantee that i'll get the updated version but did say that if wasn't happy I could send the monitor back and get it replaced, so I ordered anyway and fingers crossed!

I'm guessing Hazro haven't contacted you to tell you its on the way?

They seem to be exceptionally crap at liasing with their customers.

I've heard nothing and not had any emails. It's just a waiting game.

I'll email them tonight if it hasn't arrived today, but then it will probably turn up before they reply to the email.

Look at it from their point of view - they've just received probably 50 monitors in the post and have to evaluate them all and upgrade firmware - retest and then arrange couriers for each one.
I imagine they're having a pretty hard time of it.

More comms would be good, but I bet this is the first time they've had to deal with something like this.

Yeah, that's why I'm not moaning, I'm just keeping people informed of my experience

I'm happy though, my monitor is getting fixed and all I had to do is bring it to work and they are doing all the rest.

I can't complain :)

If only they had delayed launch by just another week for final testing we wouldn't be in this mess! I praise companies with the attitude of "it will be ready when it's ready" and not rush releasing products/software because of unrealistic deadlines.

Just got a confirmation email, my 24” is being picked up on the 1st Oct by FedEx and I am in London on the 2nd and 3rd so assuming turnaround is 2 days I will have it back Friday/Saturday so I won’t actually be missing the monitor at all hehe.

Good times.

Is that the date you specified? They don't deliver on w/e I'm pretty sure.

On this note.

I`ve just been on the phone to that nice chap at Hazro again.

Its seems they are having problems with the cable thats being fitted to stop the green sparkling, ( I think from their supplier ) so its going to be 2 or 3 days longer than anticipated.

Grrr... How annoying. I guess I will have to put up with my old 17" monitor longer than anticipated.

The thing is, I returned my Hazro to OC for a refund and went back to the drawing board looking for an alternative, and now I'm considering reordering one because there really aren't any alternatives!
I'm not happy with wide gamut, so it leaves this or the PVA Dell 2408WFP (with input lag) - or a PVA Eizo S2431W at an extra £150.

Dell 2408 is also wide gamut, so it's just the Hazro or the Eizo.

Anyone had their updated monitor back yet or any word from Hazro, aside from the comment about the shielding cable causing problems? I haven't heard a peep out of them yet and starting to miss my screen, even though it's only been 3 days.

I would be surprised if any screens were returned this week tbh. They must have a room full of monitors waiting to be serviced and now having to resolve this cabling issue on top.
