**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

Just a random question - but has anyone with the glass version noticed dust getting into the glass after some time?

Heard it happen a few times but don't know much more. Kinda funny if dust can get inside eventually. :p

Got it from here:

It gets under the front glass, I have way more dust now than I had when I got my monitor.

Nothing you can do about it, I'm afraid, unless you live in a dust-free environment.

Getting rid of all dust is impossible in my room, even though I keep things tidy and clean up every now and then.

so it's not sealed at the front then? air gap?

This was back in May though, any recent users notice anything?

No dust in mine, superb monitor. I really recommend getting one :)
Just make sure:
1. If you are gaming, that your gfx card is powerful enough for the native resolution
2. You can take the reflective glass
3. Have a NVIDIA gfx card to avoid some problems?
4. Clean the top of the monitor regulary to avoid the chances of dust creeping inside

Btw like i've probably said before this monitor looks great wall mounted!

I've not noticed anything and there's a small quarry near my house.

I'll let you guys know if it happens though.

How good is the glass assembly? Does it stick out more on one side than the other, ect.?

Edit: I haven't used a glossy screen in so long, I forget: How easily do these screens (non glass) scratch? I normally use a damp microfibre cloth and just circular motions when cleaning. I'm all too used to the cheap ass shiny plastic that dust particles themselves can scratch. This won't happen on the monitor, right?

The glass assembly is top notch, there are no gaps and it's equal all round.

Also I always used a damp microfibre cloth as well. With glass the chances of scratching are very low. given that TV's have been using it for years.

Hey guys.

Got in touch with Hazro over a few issues that we've yet to have replies from Hazro for a while.

With reference to your enquiry, please find the outcome, solution or answer below:

Many thanks for showing interest in Hazro monitors.

The non-glass was specifically requested by Overclockers after some users reported dust accumulation behind the glass. Whilst this has been resolved, the non-glass continues to generate interest as it seems customers are still reading older posts in the forums.

The glass is purely cosmetic as we wanted to create a monitor with an 'end-to-end' look. Manufactured in Japan by Asahi Glass, it does add to the vibrancy of colors as well as overall aesthetics of the unit. We have no evidence to suggest the glass is detrimental to the image as user feedback has been positive. However, it is down to preference and we always advise going for non-glass if there are doubts or concerns [especially if you've never used a glass fronted monitor before].

The HZ27WC will be sold as non-HDCP compliant for now and we have no immediate plans on changing this. The BIOS issue is only present on some 5000 series ATi cards which is a problem AMD are in the process of fixing. They have confirmed complete compatibility with the 6000 series cards but have yet to confirm a date for a f/w fix.

Hope this answers your questions.

In summary:

Hazro claim the glass does improve the picture, while having no detrimental affects to the picture. (unless you hate reflections)

The C version will be NON HDCP compliant, unfortunately. That sucks balls. :(

My AMD problem with the cards will be fixed in an update. Of course, knowing AMD, this could be forever away.

I got passed the HDCP with Passkey, I would really recommend it.

I'm right next to a window and I don't notice at all when working or gaming.

You got pictures of a dark screen in a completely black room? That last pic looked like you had flash.

Since my one is going back I'm back on the glass/non glass issue. I really liked the non glass but the bezel thing annoys the hell out of me since i know dirty will just collect down there. :p

(OCUK better drop the damn price on the glass one though. Extortionate!)

I honestly don't think that would be an issue, you can quite easily clean every visible part of the screen so no dirt that you can't clean would stand out.

I can't see any advantages to having glass in front of it. It would most definitely increase reflections, and the non-glass one has enough (not loads but at times noticeable) and my dell is quite reflective, enough to be annoying sometimes, and that's just glossy with no glass. I'm pretty sure any advantages to having the glass there are outweighed by the disadvantages.

I'll try and get a photo tonight after it's dark. Sadly I only have the phone to take photos with so I doubt it'll look super.

True, but I forget how scratch resistant the panel itself is. Would slap myself if it scratched over time from simple microfibre cloth cleaning.

It really doesn't scratch, I've cleaned it loads as it gets quite dusty quite quickly, and it's spotless after cleaning it.

Yeah, I've looked at more pictures of the glass version and wow, way too reflective. At least with the non glass I can use it with the lights on and not be able to see my hands moving as I type. :p I guess I can just use an air can to blow out the dust that collects under the bezel. I'd get worried if it built up too much. Call me paranoid.

If they went with the glass that the same company make (I think) that doesn't reflect at all, I'd be all over it.

It is kinda funny how Hazro claimed that the glass improves the picture though. I think I'm gonna ask them for stats on that because it IS untreated glass which shouldn't really do anything.

I dont know wher you're getting it from that you can see your reflection or hands when typing.

I can't see it at all, and the only time I have reflection problems is when the sun is directly in through my window on the monitor. Even before that my normal monitor caused the same problems.

From user comments earlier in this thread. :p

Well when you had your curtains closed in one pic there was still reflections. nearly gone, but still there. That is pretty extreme imo, unless you had flash on.

But still, the more pics the merrier. :D

The sun tends be be annoying mid day for everyone, as it's directly into my room then. Of course it'll cause reflections.

Like I said, sitting infront of it or back in the room watching a movie I hardly see any unless the sun is shining directly into the room.
