Just a update
Asus accepted RMA and are sending me a New monitor.
It wouldn't be the first time somebody has been promised one of those by ASUS but actually given a refurbished unit instead.
I look forward to hearing back from you about whether the new unit has the issue as well.![]()
As they are so new - a refurb is highly unlikely (me hopes)

Especially now that there's a range of HiDPI settings in OSX for me.![]()
Alright for some huh?![]()
Only if I can get my hands on one. Do you have any one the way for a review?
ASUS don't currently have any samples to give me. I suspect I'll be testing out the Samsung or AOC before this one but I could be wrong.
Looking forward to them. Such a pity the Samsung doesn't have a VESA mount.
dunno ocuk received mine today so goodness knows. Not heard anything from asus personally yet. Knowing my luck ocuk will be unable to replicate the problem now![]()
If any issues let me know and I will sort.
However you guys should realise when it comes to a monitor RMA you should always contact the manufacturer, as monitors generally have on-site warranties so you call them and they will collect/replace the monitor for you.![]()
I agree with you 100‰ just a total shame about the signal issueI thought the monitor was excellent apart from the DP 1.2 signal loss issues.
In games the 4k was very sharp and impressive. I could live with the poor colours, I could live with the variation in colour and brightness and I could live with the very poor Windows and app support for 4K.
Jus that poor signal loss issue at 60Hz DP 1.2
