Holy Hell OcUK!!!

I remember reading it on DFi Street, i can't find the page either.

It was in MAHOOSIVE RED WRITING

Priming at 3.17Ghz 1.5v currently. Thought i was gonna see 3.2 stable but couldn't manage it. Volts didn't help here either.

Same as me, looks like 3.2GHz is the unobtainable max for air sadly, wouldnt mind seeing what a watercooling setup could do though, might be having a trip up to overclockers this weekend to find out :p

this is where it tops out

gave it 1.7v and the temps were insane ....core upto +15c ...can get a screenshot at around 3650 but that's the max, didn't manage to capture it ...i'll try again later

Yup. Topped out here at 3.166Ghz 1.5v. See if i can get volts any lower now. Runs a lot hotter than my Opteron that's for sure.

Got mine to do 1M superpi at 3.20 on a Scythe Ninja. No idea if it was stable or not (probably not). Didn't really have time to play with it so took it back down to 3.0 and it has been folding away quite happily for the last 6 days whilst I've been away.

I will hopefully have a bit more time to tweak in the next few days.

Much better than my previous one which would only do 2.7 stable :(

nice one

i bought a second one for my htpc exact same stepping as the first i bought except it coldbugs like crazy over 265htt.

Is it worth getting one of these to replace my 3700+ (CABGE, won't clock even under water), or is the extra speed just for e-flex rights? Will I actually notice the difference of the extra ~800MHz, or should I just not bother and wait for the AMD XP Barton of the dual core world?

I forgot to mention, I only really play games and unrar lots of files :)

An extra 800 million clock cycles per second is bound to significantly speed thinks up,also if you have a beastly graphics card the extra cpu speed will enable it to stretch its legs further.

I'm suprised your cabge won't clock, as I had one running at 2.9,it did need a healthy vcore to reach this with stability though.

The KAB1E's are good value for money, and will provide the fastest gaming performance available from a single core processor outside the FX range and possibly some of the mobile P4's.
