US: House of Cards

I'm currently watching S2 episode 6 and I'm wondering....

What happened to the vote after the lockdown in episode 4? Did I miss something, have they rescheduled it?

I don't really want to know what happened with the vote results, just wondering if I've missed it?

Just finished season 2. Looks like next season the house of cards may start tumbling down.

It's already put in motion

Doug's death will trigger a murder inquiry, which they will question frank and track down the Rachel, when they her and they will, it'll cause the whole thing tumbling down

Exactly. I get the feeling the third season could be the last, if things go as you'd expect/they don't drag the storyline out. Of course Frank could do what he does best and somehow avoid being pinned with the murders!

It was passed. They got enough people in the room to make a vote valid and of course there was more people in favour.

Also the wierd gay threesome thing had a very hallucinogenic vibe to it, just felt so out of place and unreal. Prior to that I thought that maybe Urquhart saw him as more of a son figure.

Don't really know where they're going with the show now though. There is no king for him to contend with and the elections are two years away, it'll have to deviate wildly from the source material.

It will tumble down, as I describe above. At minimum, it will be the catalyst of it.

Just finished S2 and enjoyed it. I'm not entirely convinced by spacey's work - everything he says comes out as bs to me. Not sure I buy anyone ever believing him. But I was pleased that
Zoe is gone. She was less likable than Frank, who is a psychopath and murderer. So she wasn't really working for me. Not to mention how her mouth was always ever so slightly open. That was annoying too!
I also didn't care for Freddy. Would have prefered less of him and his f.. his ribs and maybe more of Claire. But was fun as ever.

My wife and I got a NetFlix account to watch this - so worth it.

Just gorged myself on Season 2. I wish to make two comments:

The threesome with their BG. What the actual ****?

President? Really? Where will the show go from there? His downfall presumably?

Also,

Is his assistant dead in the woods or just knocked out?

Could have sworn his eyes were open when they showered him lying there, in which case I'm pretty sure he's dead.

On a separate note, what a great show this is.

Will be interesting to see where they take it with him as president. I'm assuming his murders will be uncovered at some point. Curly haired journalist is still alive (albeit in jail) and the brown-haired female journalist is still at large.

Just finished season 2, not sure if im looking forward to season 3 or not. Scandal also just started back up which is worth watching.

Even though it's obvious what's going to happen.... I really shouldn't have opened that last spoiler tag in post #76.

His wife plans his murder in the original British version because he loses control and his web of lies is about to unravel. He also goes about setting himself up to be very rich after he leaves office. It was quite a fitting end actually.

I think it was mentioned in season 2 of the US version actually, how power is better than money but power never lasts etc.
