How many Focus ST owners on here

Just had my Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's fitted this morning, looking forward to getting them scrubbed in and seeing how good they really are, heard nothing but amazing things about them and got to be better than the no-names that have been destroyed in the space of 3K :D

Gotta wait for the Goodyear Excellence on the backs to wear out in a few thousand then i'll have a cracking set of tyres all round :)

I use the Michelin Pilot Sport 3's and they seem to handle very well. Are there better ones for the price?

In the 22 months I've had mine I haven't noticed it getting through tyres abnormally quick. Is that because people are using cheap tyres or cornering like loons?

It's mostly down to driving style i'd imagine. I go for the occasional drive up to the Hartside Pass for those that know it, and various other drives, driving fairly hard. Putting power down through those tyres will eat up tread very quickly. On the other hand, if you barely ever floor it, then i'd imagine your tyres will last quite a while.

What do people expect to get out of a set of fronts? I'm expecting roughly 10-12K from what people have said on STOC and such.

Sorry to Hijack a thread but its ST related!

Mine has got to go for a Service and MoT (Its a 55 plate if thats any help) and its the time rather than the mileage thats dictating which service it is. Just wondering if its a large expensive service or a small expensive service this time round?

Also anyone in the Brighton/East Sussex area recommend any garage other than Caffyns in Portslade? Haven`t had a bad experience there but I dont think its the Cheapest place around.

Cheers anyhow

Got my car insurance renewal up soon and i'm wondering does anyone know any places that specialize in modded STs? Or any places that offer a reasonable insurace qoute?

Adrian Flux and such other car owners forum "specialists" claim to be modification friendly. I have not found this to be the case though.

Just go on a few comparison websites and see which company comes up top a lot, then await the inevitable phone call, and say you've got a cheaper quote and 9 times out of 10 they will match.

Usually money supermarket find me the cheapest but this year it was go compare.

Been with Admiral group since I first got my insurance policy in 2006

Do people still recommend "Greenlight" for insurance? Last time I checked the STOC forums they were one of the ones being recommended for mods etc.

Might be worth trying them Soulja. My ST is standard so got a better deal from Aviva!

P.s Cheers Mucky Pup for your reply, sorry I havent had a chance to thank you until tonight.
