I hate these attention seekers. Luckily Swansea is having a clampdown on the Boy Racers.

hmm yes they are indeed annoying, although im gonna have to stick up for the car park brigade.

We and afew mates meet at asda car park, and park up.

We dont go round at stupid speeds and wheelspin etc

We just look at each others cars, and play loud music :)

Whats the harm in that ?

There are far more bad things that are happening while we cause no harm, yet the police tell us to move on.

No wonder the real criminals get away with it :(

Do they not realise how stupid they look to the general public? I remember one time a boy racer stopped at a set of traffic lights and the local kids started shouting "w*****" at him, it was very funny and the racer was furious as two very good looking women were walking past him and laughing at him.

I know what you mean Beaky. So many prats around Swansea's town centre during the nights!

yeh they really get on my nerves, Swansea has a million of them as well as the usual gaggle of drunken old women, staggering in the middle of the road, hurling abuse.

They make a lot of noise to attract attention, then get furious when they eventually do get it but not they way they think they should. Time to grow up.

And lets not forget breaking several laws on speed, noise polution, etc.

No, the people who give the boy racers who are not doing any harm abuse need to 'grow up'

What right do they have to hurl abuse at a group of people talking about things they love..!

Doing no harm? What about the high speed that often comes with this and causing distractions to other road users? Last time I checked that was against the law.

If you crave attention don't expect it to be what you think you deserve.

It makes me laugh, people are extracting the urine out of folks who `mod` their cars, yet are prolly sitting by the side of a pc with all manner of pointless mods to their pc, overclocking, neons,windows,200 pound case:confused: how is that different to a nova driver etc?

Just find it thoroughly amusing;)

Not the first time you've projected such an image either.

People cut me up too, i am not immune to it. It happens. So what. I have more important things to worry about other than someone who made me brake:rolleyes:

And yes I get mad at people who cut me up, its sorta instinct to me. I dont cut people up on purpose, like driving around LOOKING for someone to cut up. but I dont like to wait and if I see a space for my car Ill take it.

Did I say I was slagging off car modders? I'm not, it's a hobby like any other. I'm annoyed at the idiots who think it's great to go racing with/without loud music at all hours of the day and night. These guys are usually the one's who want the attention from the local ladies yet don't realise they are just giving themselves a bad name.

Also, they can have extra points due to speeding and also causing other road users distraction with their loud music.

true enough you didnt **** off car modders, but people always assume that any young lad who drives a car with any mods is a boy racer

Id take my chances with a speeding boy racer who loved his car before an ageing exec driving home in his faceless company car after a hard day any time of the week...

I can count on one hand how many near accidents ive had as a result of boy racers but those as a result of middle aged businessmen, OAPs or school run mothers, there arent enough hands on earth.

I have a pretty loud sound system and tinted windows. I also have some standard ford alloys. I drive a black 1.6 fiesta. Does that alone make me a boy racer?

My car is going to be dynamatted this weekend, so you won't be able to hear it outside the car. I'm not interested in a new exhaust (unless mine breaks :o) or LED washers, spoilers or things like that. I just like making my car look nice.
