HTC Touch Diamond, New Flagship Model...

Unfortunately the £230 handset only HTC Touch Diamond was a typo by Vodafone.

According to Voda e-forum:

"Hi everyone,

Just to clarify, this is in fact a typo in the magazine

The handset only price for the Diamond will be £400; we're so sorry for the confusion!

I like they way they also said it is slated for the 14th for a release.

All I want now is for T-Mobile to release it today.

I've had a Vario II since I began my WnW Plus T-Mobile contract last year.

Due for upgrade end of September/beginning October.

Whats the chances of me blagging a Touch Diamond by then, any ideas?.

I'm very tempted to get a Diamond, but I'm waiting for the HTC Victor. Basically the Diamond but with a different casing design. Don't like the back of the Diamond design.

Wow this phone just keeps getting better and better...recently flashed the stock rom to TLR rom and it flies...tf3d is so much faster and smoother than it was before.

Only problem with the phone that the guys at XDA havent been able to fix is the memory leakage...still leaks memory over a period of time but isnt so bad as it was when it was stock.

Absolutely loving this phone other than the fact that using GPS, the phone kinda gets hot

...will be great in the winter as a hand warmer though

I find it abit more unstable then TLR 1, how about u?

Well aparently its out on Orange now (or so some people are saying) so you should be able to see it available from tomorrow on their website.

Yeah ive flashed my rom to TLR2, its not too bad..havent really noticed any unstableness to be honest.

Storage space seems fine to me, considering that an Ogg song is about 2MB and watching videos on mobile devices never really worked.

Just ordered mine from Orange 12 month contract £33 for 400 minutes and i think 500 texts, getting it delivered tomorrow, and because I am an existing Sim Only customer I got the phone for free rather than pay the £70 I'd have to pay if I was a new customer. So over the 12 months will only cost me £396 which is cheaper than buying it Sim free which is what I'd normally do.

Currently the web site only shows 18 and 24 months plans, but if you have a chat with them you can get 12 month plans.

Does anyone who has already recieved one know what GPS software if any it has pre-installed e.g. Tom To mor Co-Pilot?

12 month contracts are there, you just need to click on "show all plans".

Hopefully O2 will get their arses into gear some time soon as I've been due an upgrade for ages now (there wasn't anything that took my fancy) so I should hopefully be able to get a pretty decent deal with them.
