Hungarian Grand Prix 2010, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 12/19

Renault - $50'000 fine for unsafe release of Robert Kubica
Mercedes - $50'000 fine for unsafe release of Nico Rosberg
Schumacher - 10 place grid drop in Spa.

If for example, Michael Schumacher had "food poisoning" at spa, and Heidfeld had to take the seat for the weekend - would the car still take the 10 place drop?

Can you clarify this statement please?

Are you saying that if we look at every single session this season, he has outpaced Massa 61-7?

Yeah if you take every session since thestart of the season. That includes all the practises and the 3 quali sessions.

In fact that figure is higher now with the conclusion of this race.

No, I believe its just for Schumacher, as it states for the drivers next race.

Yeah but nobody with any brains says that about open wheel, thats only for nascar and btcc.

Exactly but it's not like they haven't had ample opportunity to stamp this out earlier. It's happened a handfull of times already this season. Edge over until the car beside you has to make a decision about having an accident or running off the track.

Any time a car doesn't leave another car a cars width without puting a wheel off track they should face a similar punishment now.

Yet they won't because F1 doesn't know consistency if it was bummed by it.

Not a great advert for F1 really. The usual Hungaroring snore-fest, panicky safety car and amateur night in the pits. It was also nice to see more of the old skool Schumacher in action. So great that he's back in F1.

Then again there are too many drivers veering wildly across the track nowadays. Some of the manoeuvres are wince-inducing. :(

Anyway, Spa and Monza in three weeks time.

I'm surprised Mercedes got away that lightly. That wheel was incredibly dangerous.

Hope this is true, dependent on the new tests actually enforcing the rules of course.

why? is a flexible wing a terrible thing? just trying to interfere and curtail red bull dominance imo.

i think that F1 should concentrate on othere things like running drivers off the road. today was a close call, but we see same thing many times, sometimes worse, just in less dangerous areas.
