HUNGARORING - BUDAPEST - HUNGARY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 10/17

Not quite. For Williams and Brawn, all they do is Formula 1, so they would stay. It's the other companies that are more likely to pull out. Williams, Brawn and McLaren are pretty safe to be honest.

Williams already are on their last legs, thats why they didn't side with fota in the first place. They dont have the budget and have been unable to generate enough of a budget to compete.

The only teams I'd say are safe are Macca, Ferrari and RedBull. The other car makers have seen it's just not worth it even if they win a title and no one can secure sponsorship worthy of the budget requirements.

They should have taken steps when the ciggie money went. When a car dominating a championship can't do better than 250k per race from a chancer you know there is something seriously up. Honda not able to secure sponsorship was a big teller.

BMW, Toyota and Renault will all go soon.

Max has been banging on about reducing costs for year yet everyone was critical of him. He knew things were unsustainable but the diehard petrol head ‘dinosaurs’ didn’t want to hear it. :(

Hardly a surprise that BMW are off.

Toyota probably don't feel F1 has been the best investment ever but they are still around - just.

Its odd that many of the F1 teams seem to struggle with budgets and will they won't they be on the grid next year yet give them a budget cap and they all kick off. Like Bernie said the cap was to stop them going out of business and they (the complainers) wouldn't have it.

Doesn't make sense to me.

Well that sucks; although after their abysmal 2009 season, having invested large sums of cash, it doesnt surprise me.

Shows what a load of old balls they talked regards budget caps and FOTA. They just wanted a way out and shows that FOTA wouldn't have the money to set up a rival series anyway.

The investment just is not worth the returns, which is why the manufacturers will slowly drop out and the big sponsors everyone predicted would come when the ciggie companies went never materialised.

Hopefully we will still have a 20 car grid. 10 mclarens, lewis hamilton and 9 rear gunners and 10 ferraris Alonso and 9 rear gunners to keep the series interesting ;)

im not sure why toyota are persisting either tbh..

given that their entire new range of cars is drivel and in no way motorsport related i am not sure what value them being in F1 can possibly have? nor can it have a large halo effect to boost car sales volumes - being as they are neither sucessful, or aiming for sporty drivers with their cars?

Well in the first vid two driving cheats was reported to the stewards.
And even I could go on the M6 and hold everyone up in the rain if I want to play bumper cars.

michael schumaker was a cheat and will go down in history as a cheat.
ask Eddie ervine.
cant find anything about cheats at spa 97 and the win still stands

and you wouldnt be able to hold someone up for so long when its obvious they are so much faster than you while your on slick tyres on a wet track.

no doubt in your mind they were wet slicks and he was cheating again.
