HUNGARORING - BUDAPEST - HUNGARY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 10/17

Who will be #1?

... A lot of people have derided MS for avoiding racing head to head against Kimi. Well, for the rest of the season, that is exactly what he will be doing. And make no doubt: MS is not returning to make up the numbers - he will be trying to prove that he IS the daddy of F1. No way would a 7-time World Champ return to make up the numbers.
What will be particularly interesting will be the question of whether Schumacher will return with his usual #1 status

Just another kicker for Ferrari then.

Would be a good idea, with F1 having such a rough year this year, Valencia looking like bombing (ticket sales where awful, before Alonso was ruled out for it) I'd have been thinking about giving a few quid to Ferrari to get him in.

I actually think his pace will be similar to that of Kimi. Over a full race distance though, I'm not sure, due to the fitness (mental and physical) element.

This might be enough to get Kimi fired up. Kimi just looks so disinterested in F1...almost as if he is just turning up, racing, taking home his salary and thats it. There doesnt seem to be any passion.

Remember people, Kimi is one of the highest paid drivers in F1, ever. IMO he does not deserve those wages, as IMO he isnt even the best driver in F1.

I think its likely that Kimi and MS would have equal No.1 status. I honestly cant see any reason for MS to get preferential treatment, unless of course, he is hopelessly faster than Kimi.

What would be interesting is if MS turns out to be very very fast and has the hunger back, then he may even replace Kimi for 2010, which would block the move of Alonso to Ferrari.

Not surprised about Valencia. From what I know it is a lovely city/region of Spain but I think the GP there last year was possibly the most boring of the season. It was just such a crap track.

Is Kimi signed up to Ferrari for 2010? I thought he was

I wonder if Schumacher will be racing in Massa's car, using his number and the red 'T Bar'?

What a day its been for F1 though. Schumacher coming back, which I personally cant wait to see. Hes got a whole lot of new competition to play around with. For a start, Schumacher vs Hamilton is a mouth watering concept, thats even coming from Hamilton's least favourite fan on this planet :p

Quite shocked at BMW's announcement. From 3rd best team by quite a long way and race winners in 2008 to a shocking first half of a season in 2009 to pulling out of the sport all together.

Surely, Flav will be lining up Kubica at Renualt? Maybe Heidfeld to join him to if Alonso leaves? Could be a good thing, bringing proven teamates onboard!
