Intel Core Ultra 9 285k 'Arrow Lake' Discussion/News ("15th gen") on LGA-1851

if Arrow Lake was supposed to be the final CPU what would have that made Meteor Lake ? when this is the kind of performance you getting from Arrow Lake

People assume because arrow lake-s has been officially cancelled by Intel in their roadmap, and ultra 300 will be completely new architecture compared to arrow lake

You know what they say about assumptions :D

This would be bad, this would be really bad, The 265K here would have to find 49% just to match the 13950HX, a 5800X3D would kick this thing in the face.....

surely thats upto Intel to provide guide lines how to setup the cpu for reviewers to follow ? if you get results at stock thats intels fault not reviewers imo

horribly loose xmp timings
used in every CPU review by all reviewers ever
fact that tuning timings now helps Intel too doesn't mean you dismiss results with "stock" XMP
PS Didn't anandtech test with jedec timings? Definitely did the max officially supported

Not really how it works. If your auto rules fall off a cliff after a certain frequency, which is what we're seeing on higher frequency kits 8400+ you get major regression.

Also, how many reviewers will notice if they're running in G2 or G4? We'll see.

It's not a straightforward platform and the general reviewer like the general consumer is clueless about this stuff. It's totally on intel and board manufacturers to do a better job out of the box. I'm just sharing reality based on actual data infront of me.

IMO There should be two sets of results, the first at complete stock with JEDEC base CPU and power limits and then another with unlocked and XMP.

All these reviews seem to run different configs

According to oc3ds data, the 285 and 265 do lose to the 5800x3d in far cry 6 as well. And the 5800x3d doesn't require watching guides and spending hours tweaking bios settings, you just plug it in and turn it on
