***Intel i7 4790K Owners thread***

Hmmm ordered at 3:30pm but still showing as Order Status: Printed in our warehouse. I used DPD Next Day for forum members. I've booked tomorrow off work to receive it but does this mean it hasn't been dispatched?

Edit: just got marked as dispatched

I'm going to do some benchmarking of my current rig tonight. Will keep it OC'ed to 4.0Ghz so we can get clock per clock type results.

Benchmarks will include Firstrike, Heaven, BF4 and some other games. I hope I'll see a big enough improvement and the info helps others who were in the same boat as me. With SkyLake reportedly being delayed until 2016 I think I've made the right choice to upgrade now rather than wait. I'll post my results in the thread I created "i5 750 to Devils Canyon"

All installed but it won't boot into Windows. The mobo bios sees the ssd but complains there'd no bootable device? When I put my USB with Windows 8 in it boots from that and I can go through the in last all process. But I want to boot to old windows first to see if everything is OK.

Maybe I'm going to try a Windows 8 repair via USB first as I want to check cpu temps before I put everything else is. Just wanna make sure the cooler is on properly.

I had an Asus P7P55D Pro with an i5 750. Ok will try Sata controller when I get home from work in a bit. What's the difference between that and AHCI?

what you trying to do? boot into old windows hdd?

you cloned it to new ssd aswell?

you probably need to do a startup repair from usb stick it should let you boot then from the samsung ssd

Tried startup repair and chaging to IDE in BIOS still no luck. Ended up checking temps in the BIOS and now I'm re-installing Windows 8.1.

The fan for the Brocken 2 is a pain to get on mainly because the instructions are rubbish. Have I done it right? You can see the two rubber screws are bent but thr fan is firmly in place:

Also this is what my CPU cooling fan setup looks like:

Should the fan on the Brocken 2 be on the otherside? Or is it more effective this way?

Sorry not responding much but its epic in GD at the mo:D

RAM is running at 1333MHZ (666 x 2 DDR) so set XMP profile in advanced memory section if its rated to run higher.
