INTEL RAPTOR LAKE NOW AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER !

out of interest I thought id do some reading and see if any bias :) just searched the price difference between them was $499 and other is $1k and it wins in cinebench thats all that matters right

just watched gaming difference over 12 games and hardly anything in it so yeah I know what I rather have

Ryzen 7 1800X delivers performance comparable to Intel's highest-end consumer chips at a price that makes Team Blue's $1,000-plus enthusiast offerings just seem silly
What? :D

In gaming there is no comparison, the 1800x was slower than the 7700k, and the 770k was slower than the 6900k. You can check hwunboxed review for example, the difference is massive.

Productivity, yeah, in some stuff the 1800x was close, in other stuff it wasn't even near the same neighborhood. Disregarding the price, the 6900k was by far the superior product, it wasn't even close. If you put price into it then sure, the 1800x probably wins the value proposition. Personally id rather have gotten the 1700 for a fraction of the price though

If you are telling me, if you were given one of them for no cost, youd choose the 1800x, you are way too far gone into amd fanboying. I mean come on...

It was HALF THE PRICE also ended up being on well supported socket

Don't even know why I even keep entertaining this but some of the stuff you come up is ridiculous and ending up going off topic of the thread common theme with you

Opted for the Ryzen 1600, not the 7600K, i'm glad i did.

I also think the 1800X today holds up better in the latest games than the 7700K.

???
Do any of these reviews show something different? Didnt go through all of them obviously, but both hwunboxed and digital foundry show the 6900k wiping the floor with the 1800x in gaming. So what was the point of your links? To prove I was right or...?

Spin and twist

Yes it warrants the double price wished I could just buy whatever I wanted without worrying about how much it costs such is life

Anyway I'm sure you can find others to entertain you I'm off to do something else

Never argued it was worth the price. Actually, I think I said the exact opposite. So, wtf are you talking about? Im just saying the 6900k was way way better than the 1800x, which is a fact. You kept arguing about it.

Why would you not include the cost when it's literally 2x the cost it's pretty hard to fricking dismiss lmao have a good day

It was half the price with similar MT performance, it was the beginning of the end for Intel's HEDT, they never recovered it after that and they tried.

I didn't dismiss the price. Go on the top of this very page, USCOOL says there is nothing between them in gaming performance, and that's just flat out wrong and what im arguing here.

The 6900k was a far better product in everything but price. That's just a fact.

TPU only compared it to the 7700K.

The thing is in those days we were used to 3% gen on gen performance upgrades, i think it was a thing of the times where we probably thought 12% was a lot.

Aren't we glad that is over?

Last time I checked the cost of the product is what makes it a good or bad product

Something that cost double the price for that kind of difference I know what wins

Sure, but there is a difference, a couple of posts ago you said there wasn't :D

I stand corrected I'll ask the question is the difference warranted for double the cost ? , also consider for multi core productivity difference and ask the same question does it warrant double the money ?

$500 vs $1000

It depends on the usecase, generally speaking - probably not. But then again 1800x aint worth it either, there was a 300$ 1700 so...

If you are asking me, if I had 6900k money, yes id get it in a heartbeat. It was a beast. I mean my 12900k is double the money of a 12600k, is it "worth it"? Well literally no, but I still got it so

12900k is not double the cost of 12600k just checked quick google search 12900k I see for £533.28 and £315 for 12600k

Not sure how you can call the 6900k a beast but ok When it was $500 extra against its competitor for such minimal difference

@Bencher really never stops, I need to take my own advice here but we just need to stop feeding him. Mayne this common theme of every thread he posts in getting derailed may end then. Being part of this community used to be fun and informatitive, now its just painful scrolling through the endless posts of drivel to find something relevant
