Hmmm Coffee Lake-S CPUs will enter volume production on 21 August and hopefully benchmarks will leak, 8700K and Z370 motherboards pre-orders should be up on that day. :)

After seeing the DF article of the Ryzen 5 1600 against the Core i5 7600K even when the latter was overclocked to 4.8GHZ,not sure even if the Core i3 8350K is £150,that once you add the cost of the cooler,it will be worth it.

Actually, I went and downloaded the same version of CPUz to make it fair.
The 8700k is not that impressive, it only provides a slight increase in single core compared to the 7700k and ryzen 1700 beats it in multi. Much of the same as we already have.
Looks like poor i7 to me. Ryzen loses 42 in single but mullers it in multi.

Looks like it cost £220 here though, price of previous flagships and same spec. 8700K at £350.. I just don't even ...

Oh Intel .

Not much they could do at this point when it came to Coffee Lake except drop prices and they won't do that until/unless sales are actually way down. But don't assume they will just continue on the same trajectory without adjusting for what AMD has done.
