I get the odd email now and again and my heart skips a beat....
Then I log in and find it's some overweight munter..

:( :(

there there ***full sincere pat on back ***

thank you, it did help.

a work mate has convinced me to join Match.com to get my confidence back. i guess the saying goes "if you fall off a horse you get right back on again"

we will see.

it a lot more sophisticated or less chavvy time wasters than pof but theres a lot of people who have signed up and not paid thus they cant email you back (and you dont know if theyve paid or not, theres a lawsuit about it atm in america) anyways, my suggestion is to sign up but for free if you get any attention that you like pay for it ad try it out otherwise, just keep it for free....

as well as take andr3w up on his suggestion :)

the 6 month thing it where if you dont find love you get 6 months free

omg i just found his profile its BS. he said hes not afraid of commitment but thats the issue he has now. he said he hates liars but he did lie about a couple of things yesterday that i picked up on

he says on his page hes looking for friendship and a relationship but hes told me he doesnt think hes ready for the latter.

Put the profile down and step away from the pc!

Just bin it off. Forget about him, there is no point thinking about what has happened as it will just get you worked up even more!

not intentionally. he came up as one of my matches. i didn't go looking for him but a friend and i were having a laugh at his profile.

it made me feel better lol

Ok little update ..

he only one *I'm* prepared to meet at. (Its a pool hall. I can't be arsed sitting on my backside talking to someone. I gotta be doing something like an activity. Otherwise its like a sodding interview, LAME. Plus girls are crap at pool and I like to win :D)

Onwards and upwards!

lol, true.

i'm on the verge of trying this internet mating thingy :p

if i meet with anyone i just want it to be a relaxed chat or whatever,

Here is a tip for match.com - you have to turn your subscription renewal off or they will renew it for another 6 months when it is due to expire. I would do it now in case you forget.

Me..

Meetic:

A few more days and my sub runs out so decided on a final push this past week. I've messaged a few people in the UK, and abroad such as Taiwan, HK, China, etc but have only been getting profile views.. :(

Received a message from someone 'oop north' but I forgot to jot down their e-mail and their profile/message disappeared the next day, oops. Had profile view(s) from people in their 30s/early 40s.. received a wink from one.. when it states in my 'perfect match' that my age range is 21-28.. obv some people can't read.

Meetic views

Plentyoffail:

Haven't been active on there recently.
Sent messages a while ago, had one or two profile views.. but no replies.

I'll give another update in about a weeks time.

The auto renewal thing is almost standard on the subscription websites. With meetic, its a journey and a half having to click the 'confirm' buttons just to cancel the sub.
