But I assumed people messaged girls who they found physically attractive only, as they then wanted to find out if their personalties were compatible. Don't quite see the point messaging someone you don't actually like the look of.

Saying you're always acting the fool in the first sentence is probably a tad offputting. I know you're trying to sound "crazy and up for a laugh" but no-one wants to date the court jester, and imo that can be an irritating quality in people. Even if you od act the fool on a regular basis, I wouldn't say it in your profile.
Also the second photo looks camper than a Rylan christmas single.

Ok thanks....to be fair, the comments about country walks on the first date aren't a joke, i really think its a pretty dumb thing to do, but thats just me.

If they're not attracted to you.. They're not attracted to you. Doesn't matter if you have lots in common or not.
Attraction isn't just looks though and it's difficult to judge looks online anyway. Suppose it all comes down to if you've got decent (or in some cases, not so clear) photos of yourself.
What I meant was, if the girls don't find you physically attractive from looking at pictures then it doesn't matter if you have lots in common or not. Now that's not to say that ugly people should just be lonely forever because there's always someone for everyone. I don't know what you look like but by the sound of your post, you might be going for girls that are slightly out of your league? Like, "pretty"?
