its not 45 on sgs3 for a start
its £70 for the extra 16gb for the 32model on its own.
apple have said they have repeatedly tried to update google maps and where blocked.
So who decided that the iPhone and iPad would no longer have Google's map data – Apple or Google? "Duh – not Google," a well-placed source at one of the companies told me on Thursday afternoon. Which means that the pain that Apple is now feeling, as people lambast it for flaws in its maps offering, is entirely self-inflicted.
A 64GB microSD is £45. That's not debatable, it's fact.
I'm comparing the cheapest way to increase the storage on both phones. On the S3 that happens to be a microSD, on the iphone it's on the built in memory.
Erm, yes it is! A 64GB microSD is £45. That's not debatable, it's fact.
I'm comparing the cheapest way to increase the storage on both phones. On the S3 that happens to be a microSD, on the iphone it's on the built in memory.
so comparing apples to a car then.
they are differnet types of memory. for a start one is soldier on. why not compare apples for apples. or doe sthat not support your view.
or at least pick an android phone with no sd card. even then that only shows one company.
What? You're just making nonsense now. It doesn't matter what form of memory it is! What I am showing is the difference in cost for me to get extra memory on each phone. I could not care less where the memory comes from, only how much it costs me, the user.
.
you do remember loads of google maps routes like that. funny how when Google does it, most people find it funny it gets posted around and laughed at. apple does it and you get your response.
I know it will get better but it should have been better than this on release, its a bigger embarrassment than "your holding it wrong". Looks months at best away form being operational
Glaucas are you actually able to have a discussion on here without resorting to playground bullyboy "I'm right everyone else is a moron" antics? This whole thing you have with your opinion being gospel is getting tiresome.
yes, I said that well done.
apple where no longer willing to pay for something which was getting extremely outsated and would no be updated.
I cant find anyone saying that Google refused to update, do you have a source for that?
Google, reportedly, wouldn't give Apple turn-by-turn navigation unless Apple also embedded Google's location-tracking Latitude service, which Apple didn't want to do. Likewise, Apple either didn't get, want, or implement Google's better vector maps. (Not only in the built-in Maps app, but in the APIs developers use for embedded maps in App Store apps.)
Nilay Patel's reply:
I am 100 percent confident that it was Apple’s decision to remove Google maps. Five years in the making. Solid reporting behind that one.
