*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

is it noticeably quicker ?

I don't doubt the benchmarks ? I just don't really ever feel wanting - speed wise when using the Iphone 4 - games, browsing etc etc ?

Damn was going to cancel my 5 but it's started to ship. I think I'll stick with my 4s for a while and see what happens with ios6 maps and the scratching issues. Really hate phones that you need to protect with covers, I've battered my 4s and it's not got a scratch on it.

Zagg screen protectors are good (and only a screen cover rather than case)

whats the colour saturation like ? the one I took a look at yesterday looked rather over-saturated to me - sort of Galaxy S3 like - but perhaps I'm just used to my netural flat looking Iphone 4 screen - but I'm not sure I'd want colours to have any more "pop"?

It loads a level (ragnarok) about 6 or 7 seconds faster than the 4S

It depends on what your playing/doing really. If you are just playing games like cut the rope then no it wont make any noticeable difference. If games come out that are geared towards the A6 then it will be

As above, Safari is faster

^^ ok cheers :)

been waiting for the Iphone 5 for ages - but my 4 still feels no slouch so having dillemas :) 4 has sentimental value lol -its literally been round the world with me - hehe

Despite having a 1st October delivery date on my order confirmation. Then a 'shipped' email on Friday with expected delivery of Monday. Mine arrived this morning.

Just getting it all synced up to iTunes at the moment. Going from a 3GS to the 5 is a massive step. Loving it. :D

I'm very glad I popped into my local O2 store last night and got a NanoSIM and a case using my £10 discount. So now I have it in a Griffin Reveal (rubber sides, clear plastic back) at least just to start with.

Some really nice changes to iOS6, surprised that Podcasts have their own App now..

My observations so far:

  • Ridiculously light - lovely for usability but perhaps does cheapen the feel somewhat.
  • Noticeably faster than a 4S in all areas.
  • Colours are far better than previous screens.
  • Sound quality of the speaker is noticeably improved.
  • Its almost awkwardly thin at times!
  • The dock connector is surprisingly tiny!
  • Black aluminium doesn't actually look TOO fragile, but mine does have one small chip out of the box. Unsure whether to visit apple over the next week or so as it'll undoubtably pick up some marks over time. The phone appears perfect apart from that.
  • The vibration motor is AWFUL. It's the old style counterweight and as such sounds and feels horrible compared to the 4S. Why would they do that?!?!
