*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

You guys should reserve one at a store. They get deliveries every day. You reserve online between 9-5 for collection the next day and they email you at 9PMish if they have one available for you.

When did you order Marky? Mine's still saying 2-3 weeks, delivered between 8-12th October :(

I ordered around 11am on pre-order day and got an estimated delivery of 1st October. I wouldn't mind betting you could expect yours a week early also, so I would say 1st October.

In a colossal twist I have decided to refund my S3 and buy an iPhone 5. Why? I've had the thing for less than a month and I'm already sick of the "maybe, possibly, might not" update cycles for custom ROMs as well as official Samsung ROMs.

Now the waiting game...for my 32GB iPhone 5 in black...!

One of the reasons I jumped ship. I used to be into my custom ROMs etc, got to the age where I just can't be arsed - I just want to not have to think about it and for the battery to last until I go to bed (Galaxy S2).

So can someone please clear this up for me?

If there is a defect in the design (scratches) - will they alter the design? Surely those who have the first batch have a right to be miffed if they do?

Also, could someone please clear up why the monthly price is so much cheaper on three? I'm talking with regards to this tariff:

The One Plan.
24 month contract

All-you-can-eat data
2000 any network minutes
5000 texts
5000 Three-to-Three minutes

£39
a month.
+ £89 upfront cost

I did ask in the tariff thread but nobody answered me :( ? I'm considering paying off the 6 months left on my HTC One X as the screen is cracked and faulty.

I've seen this case which looks brilliant - http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/gear4-ic501g-iphone-5-icebox-edge-case-black-p36184.htm

No, his last comment on the matter was that he was disappointed iOS didn't have a 'home screen' I believe.

I think he may find the new one a bit light though.

Not anti Apple at all. Just not keen on ios.

Picked the phone up this afternoon, build quality is lovely. It's for my girlfriend though, I am still happy with my sensation :)

What colour and does it have dings?

I've got to say I'm impressed with the maps app to be honest. Had to drive from home to London, through central London and out to docklands and back this weekend. Had my phone as an mp3 player and just left the maps app on in the background on the passenger seat. Fades the volume to music and calls out directions, which worked perfectly. Much better than trying to navigate with google maps.

Here's the mark on mine. Looks like it was dropped or chipped during manufacturing.

It's the £699 64GB

At certain light I think "hmm it's not so bad", but then in others it's distracting. The lady I spoke to at Apple said I will have a replacement by the end of the week but my replacement order confirmation says 3-5 weeks.

My thinking is that the order confirmation is showing a generic estimate as if I ordered a new handset, or least that's what I hope. It does say a courier will contact me in 48hrs, so I can't see them expecting me to send mine back and wait up to 5 weeks without a phone.

Luckily I got my black one (64gb) in perfect condition. Got a cheap case for it the same day it arrived.

My wife has a white one also (32gb) in perfect condition.

Do you guys think AppleCare+ for the phone is worth it?

I know apples return policy is good but could I return my black even though I've been using it, plastic covers still on? Bought it online and was delivered Friday.

Fancy the white after seeing it in the flesh at Braehead
