*** iPhone 5 - Revealed! ***

So can someone please clear this up for me?

If there is a defect in the design (scratches) - will they alter the design? Surely those who have the first batch have a right to be miffed if they do?

Also, could someone please clear up why the monthly price is so much cheaper on three? I'm talking with regards to this tariff:

The One Plan.
24 month contract

£39
a month.
+ £89 upfront cost

The One Plan is so cheap because Three want to be competitive. Also worth keeping in mind that they only run a 3G network, and piggyback off Orange for 2G service where you will not get data. So if you live in weak signal areas, Three won't be for you.

Also worth mentioning that if you want a 32GB iPhone on Three, you are better off going for their Ultimate Internet SIM 600 12 month plan and buying the phone SIM free than you are going on the contract below The One Plan. £3 cheaper over two years with 100 more minutes a month.

Worth asking, how are people finding the black model with regards to durability? Mine will be going in my pocket without anything else (ever), but of course, with the black model being easily scratchable, I'm wondering whether it might be more sensible to pick up a white one instead. Prefer the rear of the white too, though prefer the front of the black!

EVH, that dent looks nasty. This was the problem I had with my 4S CRU replacements - both of them came covered with multiple deep dents and scratches. Wasn't happy that they were providing new devices in such poor condition (and still with vibrate motor issues), but they offered me a full refund anyway. Hope you get it sorted.

I know apples return policy is good but could I return my black even though I've been using it, plastic covers still on? Bought it online and was delivered Friday.

Fancy the white after seeing it in the flesh at Braehead

You can try.

I bought the 17" MBP online and then they announced the retina.. I still used the MBP for about 4 days, then brought it back to my local Apple store and they refunded me back.

You'd have to call and return it. Then buy in store.

They don't accept returns in store if you've bought online :(

YAY someone replied! Thanks mate. I live in Hertfordshire , just outside London and my friend is on three and says its great.

What do you mean by the below :/

they only run a 3G network, and piggyback off Orange for 2G service where you will not get data

So...

3
Ultimate Internet 600
12-month contract
600 minutes and 5000 texts
All-You-Can-Eat Data
FREE
£15.90

£15.90 x 12 = £190.80 and then where do I buy the phone from? Apple or three?

I see they are £599 to buy so £599 + 190.80 + 190.80 would be £980.60 for two years but also allowing me to sell the phone after 12 months.

The other deal = £89 up front fee + 39 x 24 = £1025 for two years

Seems to be £45 cheaper? Not £3?

Found maps of EE's current LTE 4G coverage. Note that currently it's being used for testing, and not available for consumers to use... just waiting for them to launch!

lteoutdoorlondon.jpg

London
My office is covered :D. Well basically everywhere inside the M25 is!

lteoutdoorbristol.jpg

Bristol
Uni is covered :D. Nothing much in Bath though :(.

I've been using mine all day on max brightness to try and get the screen to go more white instead of having a yellow tint

Battery showed 9 hours standby, 5 hours 40 mins usage. (usage on max payne, real racing 2 and browsing the web)

Just doing a full charge now and will see how it holds out. Hopefully this yellow will go soon as its annoying

Got a link of the source? Or could you say post a pic of north Devon coverage?

Thanks for posting this EVH. That is awful. On an isolated case maybe not awful but the fact this is widespread is a real dint (excuse the pun) in apples reputation one again.

Its also pretty shocking they wont exchange in store from being store online store.

No problem. I'm so surprised after always hearing of their level of customer service, they were so unhelpful.

It's terrible that I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather queue for 5hrs to ensure I could get local service.

If the replacement is marked, I'll be writing some letters and getting a refund.

Do you have any thought on what could be causing this out of the box damage? I mean surely its got to be some device on the construction process thats either grabbing the device and pinching it or as something is moving over it its catching.. To be this wide spread it has to be something like that?
