Be careful to distinguish between the ruling governments of the time, and the Israeli people. For all thier flaws, every Israeli I've spoken to on the ground has supported such a concept (2 state concept) and just want to be left alone to get on with thier own lives. I very much suspect the average Palestinian civilian feels the same. They don't care about the power games, or the oppression from whom is ruling either group of people/region.

Definately - but its the people who vote in the government of the day. If they want a peaceful solution, stop voting in hardliners

Israel do not want this to be a wider conflict, the only ones that do are Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah and Russia. They want the Arab world to unite against Israel which will also scupper the Saudi/Israel agreement.

In regards to hitting the Aleppo airport. It sounds like Israel airforce hit the runways to deny their use by Iran to stop a meeting going ahead with high up commanders and the supply/resupply of Terrorist groups aligned with them.

Religion != morality. We would, and do, have morality without any religion at all. A child has no religion - it's learned behaviour, not innate.

That said, banning religion (not that you could really do so anyway) would probaly do little to nothing to stop us killing each other either. We'd just find some other tribal reason - football teams or some such.

Religion doesn't stand apart from social issues - it is the very essence of social issues. It's all about people in the end.
