Israel-Hamas war - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

The plan seems rather inadequate, given the lack of unity among Arab nations regarding Hamas. Some may grow weary of the individuals drawn to such a mindset, and this lack of cohesion poses a potential threat to stable government wherever groups like Hamas exist.
Do they think it through though? ISIS was very succesful in fuelling terrorism across the world, and even though thousands have died since then, the problem hasn't gone away.

Seems to be vast amounts of misinformation, fake information, people stirring **** up, people who've obviously spent their entire lives paying zero attention to the situation and suddenly have strong opinions and/or coming out with stuff which might make sense from their perspective but entirely detached from the realities of the Middle East, etc. etc. with this conflict, way more even than the Ukraine situation.

(Not that I'm an expert).
Thread's just going to get spammed with any random unverified twitter **** now, like the Ukraine thread.

Sky news:
''Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening that Hamas militants had beheaded soldiers and raped women in its attack on Saturday.

In a late televised address, Mr Netanyahu also said that Israel would "crush and destroy" Hamas in response.

The Israeli prime minister added that every Hamas member was a "dead man".

Mr Netanyahu also detailed what he said were some of the atrocities that took place after Hamas militants crossed the border into Israel.

He said boys and girls were shot in the head and that people had been burned alive.''

'Iran is known to fund and equip Hamas in Gaza. But on Tuesday, Iran's supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his country was not behind the weekend's deadly attacks on Israel.
He did, however, said he "kissed the hand" of those who planned the attacks.'

Taken from the BBC feed. I think the Iranians didn't realise how successful the Hamas attack would be. They are drastically back pedalling before they get hit.
I think they'll get hit anyway.

There has to be a worry now that this is all going to massively flare up. Russia in Ukraine would love to take some of the heat off, and a war in the middle east would do nicely to divert attention.

I'm not justifying it, I'm saying that's probably what will happen.

I mean, do you think the Israelis are going to stop and ask everyone to fill out a questionnaire to work out who is Hamas and who isn't? I think it's more likely that every male in the age range of about 16-50 is going to get shot. Women, children and the old have a chance, but only if they are lucky and they avoid the bombs. Maybe they will take some male prisoners, but I have already heard one commander saying they aren't going in there to take prisoners.
Yes I think that is quite likely to happen. Must be a horrible to be an innocent Palestinian facing that, with what looks like no way out. Even if humanitarian corridors are opened with Egypt, I can't really see them letting young men out easily. :(

So you think it's okay to go in and kill every male between 16 and 50! How desensitised the Internet must make people. These are human beings, most just want a normal life. Israel have been responding with excessive force for years over and over and it has achieved nothing but more misery and bloodshed. Now you are saying its alright to basically wipe out every man between 16 and 50 in Gaza! Israel are going to kill 1000s of non Hamas, parents will end up watching their babies and children die due to Israel cutting off water and vital supplies, you think that's going to help the chances for peace? It's horrendous what Israel are doing to innocent people.
He's not saying that at all. It could well happen though the way things are going.

What Hamas needs to do is push all the hostages back across the border with an escorts. Perhaps that may gain a concession on supplies and power.
If they really want to protect the people they are supposedly protecting then yes, but unfortunately I don't think they give a **** and it will suit their agenda if lots of innocent Palestinians die.
I wonder how many of the hostages are even still alive to be honest. I wouldn't think any IDF soldiers have much of a chance.
