Thank you. It looks like the forst shell could have been a mistake but when the drone operators asked for authorization for the second shell they didn't get it yet fired anyway. The writer of that particular piece sounded bias, but if the chain of events are accurate it sonds like the operator tried to cover up his mistake by killing the survivors of the first shot. The worst pqrt of this is the Israeli judicial system that dismissed the case. So yes I condem this.

Israel can and does prosecute their own soldiers, so it’s madneing when the system fail.

Just an example of what I expect the system to do. I thought it was a light sentence until I saw that incapacitated Palistinian attecked with a knife first. Israel's legal system still convicted him because he continued after the attacker was incapacitated:

Both sides are just bad as each other, that's what war does to people turns them into monsters.
No.

Human nature on both sides is equally capable of atrocity but one side has systems in place to correct for it (systems also run by humans so they sometimes fail too) and the other side has no such error correction loop... but instead cheers and celebrates atrocities commited against their enemies.

Probably worse?

No it isn't worse.

It is awful, and tragic, but it is not the same as purposefully killing innocent civilians in cold blood and then parading them around as trophies and filming yourself taking great joy in their deaths. Or taking hostages, and then filming their execution just for effect.

War is ****, and collateral damage and mistakes are horrible. However, they are not the same as purposeful terrorist acts targeting only civilians in cold blood.

Two solutions.

First one people wont like (and not really a practical solution) but Genghis Khan would have been fine with it.

1: Get rid of both sets of people
2: Realise the carve up of Israel was a big mistake and re-draw the borders and have a permanent UN 2m wide presence separating the two squabbling children. Israel wont like it but tough they have had enough chances since 1945 to play nice.

Israel correction loop? : for illegal settlements on West bank/ethnic cleansing, detaining minors ....

Rishi&Co can rightfully condemn Hammas, but if the retribution is indiscriminate then public opinion will further deteriorate,

That is what I wonder but then on the other hand if they thought other groups were going to get stuck in proper I'd have thought they'd have gone all in.

Or they are baiting Israel but I can't see that really.
I can't help but think they have got their hands on some new "toys" and will probably be able to take out some Israeli tanks when Israel rolls in. I would be more surprised if they have the ability to take down aircraft, but their attack was so bold that I think they still have some new tricks up their sleeve.

The way Netanyahu talked about how high the cost would be for Israel sounds like Israel is expecting heavier than normal losses on their side too.

How would you redraw the borders?

The world is fed up to the back teeth with terrorism carried out using Islam as an excuse. I am no fan of religion but these terrorists are neither. Reference was made to Mossad and it's hit squads particularly after Munich where not one of the planners survived. That is what is required here. Cut off the head and the money, starve the animal that way.

Yes. I posted an example.

Does Hamas have anything like what I linked to?

From my experience, war I have lived through every side does bad things. Yes some are worse than others but war is war after all, some just call it collateral damage.

Cutting off the electricity was a bad move. That'll be enough to trigger a downward slide.
