January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Harry's your man for Tax evasion ;) so shouldn't be a problem. Crazy money if true, doubt he would want to come to us when lets face it he pretty much could choose whatever club he wanted if the money was on the table.

Also thought Harry wanted a target man and not another little guy.

Konchesky to Forest? Please be true.

Apparently Fulham are prepared to sign him in the summer, for £1.5m (lol). Not sure why it wasn't sorted this month, according to some Fulham places they say it's because Kenny wants to hold onto him till the end of the season as cover - that's doubtful though.

Busy day tomorrow for Liverpool, be interesting to see what happens with Torres, really hope he doesn't go to Chelsea. Torres/Drogba is a scary thought.

I dont believe either story about Spurs tbh, since when did they have between 30 and 38m to spend on a single player? Also say they did sign either Rossi or Aguero where would that leave Crouch and Defoe? As it is they only play with one of the two at the moment if they signed one of those aforementioned players at that price neither would then be getting a game and that's without mentioning the Russian fella who's name I cant spell.

Also without the obvious answer of wanting to improve themselves what's the reason for spending so much money on either of these two players? Even with them Spurs aren't going to win the Champions League or the Premiership so would it purely be to give them a better chance of finishing forth again?

Sorry I dont believe it, the amount of speculation that comes out of Atletico in particular and most of it ends up not amounting to anything. Same with Rossi, every window he's linked with someone and tbh in his case I dont think he's any better than Defoe anyway.

Spurs fans shouldn't get too carried away imo

looks like berbatov really was a bit of a one off for spurs. we'll probably sign another rebrov. shouldn't be spending silly money on a striker, need to get some decent scouting going on!

I would imagine they are banking on the Champions League.

Personally I think that would be stupid money, we all know what happened with Harry and Portsmouth. Dont want anything like that happening again, although Daniel Levy isn't short of a penny or two we would still be spending far beyond our incomings.

There are also better options out there than Aguero for what Tottenham need. Since we play VDV as the second striker in the hole we need a man who can hold his own up top.

Also if spurs lose out on the top four we would most likely be saying cheerio to the best of our players in the summer at half the price.

I would be interested to know the opposite side of the coin, not how the Liverpool fans feel, but how the Chelsea fans feel. For quite a while now many Chelsea fans have sat on the forum and happily declared that there is no-one from the Liverpool team they would want because they arent good enough, so my question would be what do they think , do they actually want Torres?

There's not a team in the world that wouldn't want Torres tbh, I'd take him in a heart beat.

Current form counts for nothing, he's a proven world class striker of the very top level.

at another club hopefully! they're really not happening atm

Really? So all 3 strikers are surplus to requirements now?

I know Crouch gets a lot of stick but personally I think the effect he has on VDV's game is enough for him to be in the team - does it really matter if he's not scoring if he's laying on assists for VDV left, right and centre?

As for Defoe he's been injured hasn't he? As proven with Torres and Rooney this season it sometimes takes a while for strikers to find their feet again

I wouldn't take him at United, not because he's a bad player but what would we do with him? Drop Berbatov? Sell Rooney? (to who?) and then how would signing a third big striker affect the development of Hernandez?

Who would you drop in the Barca first team for him?

Welbeck/Macheda returning after the summer. Our depth in Strikers is pretty good just now.
