January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Hopefully a striker and winger tomorrow.
We cant end the season with 3 strikers and 2 unproven youngsters so a backup must be brought in. Johnson is now out for 3 months and i can't see SWP rekindling his past so if possible a short loan for someone would be perfect.

I know we're not, but £4 million was never, ever going to be enough to land Adam considering how important blackpool feel he is.

And bidding £12.5 million initially for Suarez was funny, for all the wrong reasons. Darren Bent cost more than that :eek:

There's asking silly money, and there is being realistic with your initial offer. Which we weren't on both players imho.

Surely you'll be alright?

I am aware Tevez wants to leave but so far, he will be there until the summer so you don't really need another striker. Plus you have Jo...as average as he is.

True. It might have helped if they'd said Dalglish was appointed full time rather than we'll wait till the end of the season & decide then. Yet more uncertainty.

I believe the £12.5mill offer also included Babel.

The winger situation maybe because we could play Assulin. Up front though were knackered tbh. I won't even count Jo because he is the worst excuse of a footballer i have ever seen.

I would be surprised if we don't get cover for at least Johnson even on loan. If he really is out till the end of the season it wouldn't have been a stretch to play Balo out there, but he's also out for a couple of months and might still need an operation. Micah might now be out for a while too, couldn't even walk off the pitch today. And whilst pretty much everyone bar Micah were **** today, I don't think there has been a single game this season, cup competitions included, where Jo has proven to be anything other than perfectly useless. It really is like playing with ten men. In fact it's actually closer to playing with ten against twelve, with him never missing an opportunity to pass the ball to the opposition. Add to that who we've got out on loan and it's suddenly looking very thin indeed. For everyones yammering about how many strikers we have, at present we basically have two, with both of them needing to play every game (even with Dzeko in the lone man role) because we need Tevez's drive to win us games.

After that little rant, I know he went for a reason, but could we maybe have Bellamy back please?

Can't play Assaulin. Has only about managed 20 minutes for the reserves. About as close to match fitness as Jo is from being a footballer.

I didnt mean straight away but next week we could play SWP out there and then when Assulin has had a few weeks he should be ok? I would much prefer a quality winger though to play against utd.
A few being named are Elijero Elia at Hamburg who has gone awol apparently, Santiago Carzola also being linked.

A few years ago we signed Robinho so who knows what might happen tomorrow.

Loved? Loved? I worshipped the man, the day he signed i got everything possible with his name printed on :cool: :(
He's doing well in 'Serie A' from what i have seen on ESPN etc

Ashley Young bid getting some momentum apparently, 20m is being quoted and if we signed him then it would be absolutely fantastic i reckon. Could come straight in and make an impact whereas Elia/Carzola et al will take time...which we dont have.
