January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

People in the states announcing our owners have just signed some new baseball guy on a $140m over 4 year contract.
I doubt they really care about these elevated fees, guess they can pay it.
 
Well Anelka is definitely staying according to all of the sites I can find.

I'm just so disgusted that players aren't forced to work there contracts. Players like Torres are so very rare. There should be no backing down - Liverpool payed a premium to get him on a long contract so he should be forced to work it IMHO.

Newcastle to Liverpool is a sidestep, money talks! £35m is baffling on a player like Carroll, Liverpool showing false ambition.

Not necessarily; check the quoted statement on the previous page on that very subject, and I assume Livermule would've broached the subject with Carroll very early and been made to understand that he's very young and Liverpool have forked out a large amount to make him first-choice striker at a 'big' club.

Carroll's overpriced by about £15 million imho. but we can thank Torres changing his mind for that.

Have a feeling there's more to that one though. But I imagine we might never find out what caused the attitude change.

Suarez was about the right price.

If it was a higher profile player then for sure. However if he's on less than £30k to begin with and is desperate to complete the move, it's possible that he'd take a bit less.

For certain he won't be on less that £80k I'd imagine though.

Well Huddlestone's return has been put back a further month to March, so I doubt we would let him go unless we get someone else in. Diarra would be my wish but will never happen.

Still say he is likely to go but i dont understand the delay with it, Correct me if im wrong he will decide how much image rights go to chelsea no? If so and he wants out this badly im pretty sure he wouldnt be too fussed how much he loses unless he knows it may not work out and will leave them in couple seasons
 
That was our after today small signing, I dont get why some people seem surprised by our owners spending what yes is OTT for who they are considering they pay double i.e. near 100mil for players for their base ball team
