January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Hard times ahead for the Toffees then by the looks of it. You guys can have Vela on loan if you want. :p

Good to see Macheda on loan. Hope he does well in Italy and comes back next season a new player.

and lol at Blackburn wanting Ronaldinho.

Both of them two have been linked with us. And SAF likes us / Moyes so he might prefer him to come to us. Wouldn't mind either to be honest, I know they ain't exactly going to fire in 10 goals for us until the end of the season, but they would both get time on the pitch and hopefully pop up with a couple of goals.

Errr, Arsenal don't spend money, then you can compete with the current spending power of Chelsea and Manyoo. Obviously you can't compete with Citeh... but 3/4 isn't bad...
You can't seriously say Spurs can match Man Utd, a team who has just given one of their players a £250k a week deal and bought 2 of our best players in the past few seasons?

Chelsea and City have more spending power than anyone. Both could go and spend £100m in the transfer window if they wanted to.

Spurs can't compete with Arsenal on wages either. We have a strict wage structure and Levy will not put the club in financial trouble.

But now they have Koscielny so who's the real loser!

*the above post may be slightly sarcastic. But only slightly. Honest. Stop looking at me like that k1ll.

We have a wage structure just like Spurs do. If I remember correctly the reason why it's very 'high' is because we encompass image rights or something with it. Other clubs don't do that/ do it differently.

This is another reason why having so many sicknotes is frustrating, not only is money constantly been spent on those players but because of the structure, it prevents us from getting anybody else.

Also a possible that a bid has been made by some one of £7.5m for Yakubu.

I don't claim to be ITK (in the know), i am not, but as some of you may know I am a youth coach at Tranmere and work closely with the reserve team.

Was at a meeting today in Brighton with other N-Power league youth coaches discussing training methods etc etc. (we have four meetings a year) George Smith (Boro Youth Coach) was there and we got talking about the Yakubu fiasco. Apparently there was a 10% sell on fee in the deal bringing Yak from Boro to Everton and Boro manager Mowbrey has been told he has 750k to spend this transfer window when last week he was told there would be no funds. Smith reckons that Evertons 7.5 million pound asking fee for Yak has been met but neither of us had a clue who by.

Furthering this, Agent Pini Zahavi's representatives have apparently been in touch with Boro claiming the 10% should go to the agency and not the club. Zahavi's greed is the reason the Yak deal was difficult to complete in the first place.

Again, as i stressed, i am not ITK, but just sharing a bit of information i received today.

some tasty rumours going round re Liverpool

Elia and Mertesaker :D

My only experiences of Elia are from the world cup, seemed decent though I couldn't tell if that was because of the team around him or not. Mertesacker though I have seen quite a bit of , both league and international and I would be really happy indeed if we signed him.
